Davy closed his eyes as he rested his head on Fallan's shoulder. The familiar warmth they all gave him lingered, and with each passing second, the pain in his heart grew, threatening to explode at any moment.

After his earlier breakdown, no one asked any questions, as if they already knew why. They simply waited for him to calm down and whispered soothing words to him. Davy's mind had been preoccupied since earlier. He had a lot of scenarios running through his head. There was also that nagging feeling that he was not ready to obey his reason and continue to wander in this paradise.

His gut, however, told him otherwise. He had this sudden deja vu that no matter what his decision was, everything was meant to happen in the end. The feeling of being powerless and not having a choice came back all over again. Davy couldn't escape after all.
