Chapitre 77: Sumi’s Plan (1/2)
After Kazuya thoroughly enjoyed his time with Mami, he went to work before picking up Chizuru from college.
Things seemed pretty normal and Chizuru was being the same as usual with him but he knew that she was just running away from her feelings about her grandma. He was going to wait for her to come to him on her own since she wasn't going to open up about her feelings just because he asked her to.
He was going to wait for that trigger that opens the floodgates, that was when she'd need him and he would be there for her.
"Kazuya..." They were cuddled up in bed when Chizuru called out to him.
"What is it?"
"I never gave you your birthday gift…" She had a guilty expression on her face.
"It's fine, babe… You're going through some stuff. You don't need to worry about some present."
"No, I've already prepared it. Here." She brought a gift-wrapped box from her bag.
"What is it?"
"Open it…" She was excited to show him the gift.
Kazuya unwrapped the gift.
'A watch?'
"Do you like it? I remembered you telling me that you liked collecting watches." She had a curious look in her eyes.
"It looks amazing…" Kazuya opened the box and took out the watch while admiring the build.
"There's something else. Look in the back."
Kazuya looked at the back of the dial and noticed an engraving within the back panel.
It was both of their initials with a heart surrounding them.
"It's amazing, babe. I love it…" Kazuya kissed her with quite a bit of passion.
After an indeterminate amount of time.
"There's something else…"
"What is it?"
"I talked to Sumi today."
"Something happen?" 'I don't think that she'd tell me about it if something didn't happen.'
"She wants another practice date. Says that it would help her gauge her progress. She also wanted to wish you a happy birthday."
"I see…"
"What do you think?"
"I don't mind going, but I want to know if you have a problem with that."
"I don't, Sumi looks up to me as a sort of mentor. The least I can do is help her out every once in a while. It's not like you'll be fucking her by the end of the date."
"Woah… woah… Where'd that come from? She's such a sweet and innocent girl, even having that kind of thought about her makes me think that it's a crime." Kazuya acted as if Chizuru's words were heresy.
"Say that to the clients that she has from Diamond." She snickered.
"How old is she anyway?" Kazuya was curious.
"She's legally an adult, you don't have to worry. So should I confirm your date with her tomorrow?"
"Yeah, I don't have any problem, I don't have anything to do tomorrow anyway." Kazuya shrugged his shoulders and agreed.
"Okay," With that she snuggled into his chest and went to sleep.
…
The next day, Kazuya dropped Chizuru off at college and went to the meeting spot for his morning date with Sumi.
He got there a few minutes before the time and waited for Sumi.
*Tap**Tap*
He noticed a cute pink-haired girl who was walking toward him with her head lowered.
"Hi, Su…mi…" 'Why is she wearing a school uniform?' Kazuya freaked out when he noticed her outfit.
She came up to him and bowed in greeting.
"Sumi, did Chizuru forget to mention the theme for the date to me? Why are you wearing a school uniform?"
She did some gestures to convey that it was her idea.
'…Why though? Wait…'
"Did you see me and Chizuru when we went to the TDC?" He smiled helplessly.
She nodded and looked at him with her bright eyes as if expecting something.
"Huh… Well, I have to say that you look amazing." He smiled.
"Thank you." She was able to completely say thank you without mumbling part of her words.
'Well, at least she's progressing.'
She led him to the place that they were going.
'A water park? Seems like fun…'
"Today I… want to… please you…" Kazuya was instantly frozen by Sumi's words.
'…What the fuck do you mean by those words? Poor innocent Sumi has been tainted by the world.' Kazuya couldn't help but lament inwardly and rub Sumi's hair with pity and sadness.
She was confused about why his mood went so down after her words and looked at him with confusion.
"Sumi, tell me what you mean when you say that you want to please me…" He asked her seriously.
"Do things Kazuya likes?" She said with a straight face.
'Okay, that's definitely not enough of an answer…'
"All right Sumi, lead the way."
They went in, got the tickets and everything. Then when they entered, Sumi sat on the floor, while facing the entrance.
'Huh? Talk about an unpredictable girl…'
Kazuya didn't care much and took a seat beside Sumi, "So… Why are you sitting here, Sumi?"
She didn't say anything and pointed at the door.
'That's informative…' Kazuya sat there with her waiting for whatever was about to happen.
At some point, there was already a crowd sitting behind them and they both were in the frontmost row.
"Oh, a penguin show. Nice." Kazuya noticed a penguin coming and realized what it was everyone was sitting there for.
The show lasted for 15 minutes and he talked at Sumi about some stuff that was going on in the show.
She didn't say anything and only nodded and expressed herself without any words.
After the show, Sumi brought Kazuya to their next destination with Gusto.
'She tries so hard…' Kazuya couldn't help but adore her efforts.
Next, she brought him to the merry–go–round. It was a sea-themed ride, with the seats decorated to look like shells.
Kazuya sat beside her without thinking much of it but then noticed that her face was completely red.
'She's way too shy… Let's have some fun.' Kazuya had long realized that Sumi had a different attitude toward him from a normal rental date.
He slipped his arm around her shoulder and hugged her from the side as they sat.
He could virtually see the steam rising from her head.
"Cute…" He ended up saying out loud and Sumi couldn't help but clutch the shirt that he was wearing over a t-shirt.
With that the ride started, Kazuya decided not to tease her for longer and sat like that with her comfortably.
Though, his plans of not teasing her were completely derailed by the wind which pulled her skirt up quite a bit before she held it back down.
'Well…' Kazuya didn't know what to think and decided to admire her luscious thighs instead, ignoring the awkwardness that Sumi was feeling.
Though he did squeeze her shoulder to convey that everything was fine.
After she calmed down, she leaned her head on his shoulder for the rest of the ride. Although she had a red face and was feeling very shy, she was still enjoying his warmth.
Then they took a commemorative photo when the ride was finished.
Sumi grabbed a prop for the photo from somewhere and got the photo clicked with that big dolphin plushie in her hand.
Next up was the jellyfish room. At first glance, it seemed like a dark room that was filled with huge lava lamps which were the only source of illumination in the room.
But on a closer glance, they were actually huge tanks with jellyfish in them.
"Cross your arm with mine, Sumi. You don't speak much, so if we separate it'll be difficult to look for you."
Sumi listened to him with a healthy blush and crossed her arm that was holding her school bag with his.
Kazuya told her quite a few cool facts about jellyfish. Like how there was a species of jellyfish that was technically immortal, having lived for millions of years.
She was fascinated by the cool things that he told her.
Then she hurried to the coffee shop with him where they drank their coffee before she tried to hurry to the next spot.
"All right, stop right there, Sumi. Calm down. We have quite a bit of time, let's slow down. You don't want to burn yourself out, do you?"
Being called out like that, she got embarrassed and looked down.
"I'm not saying that I don't appreciate your enthusiasm, but you should calm down, I want to just enjoy the time we have together, okay?" Kazuya put his hand on her head and lightly rubbed her hair, being careful to not ruin her hairstyle.
She nodded and Kazuya could see that she'd slowed down compared to before.
Next up was underwater with all of the park's exotic fish being visible from within the tunnel.
It was a beautiful experience before they moved on to the final attraction of the morning.
"A dolphin show? This seems pretty nice." Kazuya knew that he was going to enjoy the show a lot.
There was an announcement saying that the people in the front rows could get wet.
'Now… do I want to get wet with Sumi? Or no I not?' Kazuya was in a dillema.
While he was in thought, Sumi came back with some drinks in her hand.
Kazuya took his drink from her. Sumi then pointed to a few seats in the fifth row.
Kazuya didn't mind and sat there since he realized that she didn't want to get wet, which made sense to him.
'Not like we brought a change of clothes.'
"Can I try your drink Sumi?" Kazuya, being Kazuya, wasn't going to waste any chance of flirting with her. Especially since he'd realized that she didn't seem to have the inhibitions with him that she would with a customer.
Sumi got red again and brought it closer to his face and Kazuya drank it from her straw.
"It's good. Try mine." Kazuya did the same for her.
As she drank his drink from Kazuya's straw, she seemed to get even redder in the face and nodded to convey that it was good.
When the show finally started, both of them had quite a bit of fun seeing the dolphin, Ishutto, do its tricks.
