"This isn't fun at all!" Dahlia screamed, though everyone else was too preoccupied to respond.
As it turned out, they may have underestimated their enemy by just a tad. Not in the sense that they were outmatched however. No, they all were more than capable of fighting back. The issue was that their opponent was incredibly annoying to fight against.
The strange statue that had once stood sentry in the middle of the giant room had long since been destroyed, leaving behind only miscellaneous bits of strewn rubble. Only, those pieces of rubble were quickly absorbed into the stone floor and two new replicas of the stone statue-thing emerged from the ground to replace it. It was like some kind of weak and lumpy hydra, where cutting one statue down only led to the number of enemies increasing.
Less tired this week, but I'm still very low energy and low motivation. Sorry if that's coming through.
As part of that and also in a desire to grow my reader base, I've been considering taking a hiatus after this volume is done and then mass releasing chapters for volume three once I return. That'd probably be a pretty long hiatus though, so I'd like to hear your thoughts on the matter.
Similarly, if you have ideas of how Dahlia could creatively use her tree, let me know! I have some ideas, but the ones listed in the chapter are what stood out the most to me. If you want, feel free to talk about it over on the discord here: https://discord.gg/bujm3vN8Br
And, as always, I hope you're doing well and are having a wonderful day.
