The night that followed Sabrina's revelations wasn't anything special. One might expect Dahlia to have some heart to heart with her mother, or perhaps seek refuge with her lover, but no. The news certainly rocked her and left the girl with plenty to think about, but instead of turning to someone to vent or ask more questions, she simply requested time to think things through by herself. And frankly, that was probably for the best.
Even excluding the heavy conversation they just had, everyone was already tired, with Bessie going so far as having to be literally dragged to her bed so that she didn't fall asleep on the forest floor. While Valentina and Josie were perhaps the least affected, even they were still recovering from the purification pill and linnorm blood they had previously taken and both were starting to feel their own fatigue.
Happy Canada from me and, I know the fourth of July is coming up for my american readers too, so I hope you enjoy that big celebration too! As a general rule, I hope all of you readers always take care and enjoy yourselves when you can <3
As for the chapter, I hope you enjoyed~ Dahlia's appraoch of accepting Sabrina leaves me with mixed feelings, but in the end this feels right to me. I also hope you enjoy the mystery of Dahlia's primordial heritage/ traits, because it's only going to get more important as things move forward.
I have to admit that with me writing less recently, it's harder for me to mentally keep track of pacing, but I hope things are ok and that you look forward to the fight to come! Next chapter is going to be hopping back in the action!
And, as always, I hope you have a wonderful day!
