It’s completely dark when we start to descend. There are few lights still on in the city, disappearing behind the wall as we head towards the ground. As we move lower, I keep an eye out for the barracks. They’re low and cast in darkness, but I think I see the stout buildings.
We land, and Eurus transforms back into his human form. I hand him his clothes, waiting for him to dress, and then we look towards Magnus. He stands there, completely naked. There’s a moment of silence as he stares back at the two of us, and then looks down at himself.
“I suppose I am underdressed,” he says. “I was never one for clothes.”
“Maybe it’ll work to our advantage,” Eurus says. “In fact, it might do better to be in our dragon forms. We can fight more easily that way.”
“It might be dangerous, though,” I warn. “The technology they have…”
“It will be fine,” Magnus says, waving his hand. “A little lightning never harmed me any.”
