Chapitre 65: Chicken Soup

Miguel sat across from Gemma at the table and watched her eat with delight; she must have been quite hungry since she finished the soup at a lightning pace.

"Would you like me to get you some more?" The owner of the shop who had been sitting at a table not too quite far away from theirs asked.

"Is it possible for me to have more?" Gemma asked raising her head from the plate and wiping the corner of her mouth with a napkin.

"She can have some right?" Miguel asked the man.

"Yes, of course." The man came and took Gemma's plate.

Gemma felt sorry for the man, as though Miguel was pressuring him to make her another plate.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Gemma asked when she saw the way Miguel was looking at her.

"And how am I looking at you?" He had a hand under his chin a small smile tugging at his lips.
