After several hours of shopping and sitting under a hot dryer in the salon, Gemma was so glad when she finally got home. But her joy was short-lived as her mother refused to allow her rest.
"My feet hurt so bad, can't we just push this engagement party to another time? Tomorrow perhaps?" Gemma asked her mother as the maids brought all that they had bought to Gemma's bedroom.
"And then tell all the guests that we have invited what? What do you suggest that we tell them?" Her mother demanded.
"I really don't know why we have to do this engagement, it's totally unnecessary," Gemma grumbled.
"Stop grumbling and go and take your bath, the makeup artist will be here soon," her mother replied. "Make sure that she gets ready before the makeup artist arrives," she said to Elena before leaving the bedroom.
"Are you all right?" Elena asked who was looking melancholic.
