"Having descendents is a big responsibility too, are you considering being DINK (Double Income No Kids)?" Su Chengyu joked.
Xia Ruolan pursed her lips, "When we were young, my husband and I were both busy with work and didn't want children. When we finally decided we wanted them, I was diagnosed with infertility. So, we never had kids and even our relationship has waned over time."
Su Chengyu remarked, "With today's medical advancements, infertility isn't hard to treat."
Xia Ruolan replied bitterly, "We have tried many medicines and methods of treatment, but to no avail. Maybe I am just not meant to be a mother. Let's not talk about this. Just sit and relax while I prep for dinner."
As Xia Ruolan was heading towards the kitchen, Su Chengyu thought to himself that he should help Teacher Xia. Infertility may be incurable for some, but it wasn't an impossible task for him.
