For a few seconds of silence, a woman came to their table.
"What do you like?
"Two coffees, please." Wave replied.
"I want to like what she said." Vanoss followed.
"Okay, two coffees coming right up."
Few moments after she left, she return already with their orders.
Sipping her drinks, Wave breathed out in satisfaction, "By the Dragons, I do love those drinks."
"Nah, I prefer Starbucks."
"A type of restaurant in your world?"
"Yup."
"Ah, I see."
"Okay, lizard lady, now onto the main topic, what do you want?" Vanoss asked, his face expressing his disinterest.
"I have a request from the Goddess."
"Goddess? Your like belong to a Church? No, I'm not going to do their little religious affairs again, so no."
"No, no, no, don't misunderstand. Mr. Fong, do you know who I am?"
"Religious lizard woman?"
Wave chuckled, 'You are kinda funny like the people said. But no, I'm the head director of Midnight Order herself."
Upon learning this, Vanoss' eyes widened, "Wait, you? Her?"
Wave nodded her head, "Mhm."
"If you belong to that organization, then why the hell didn't you help the city a week ago?"
"It's because I'm still busy with other important business."
"What a terrible reason. What does your Goddess want with me?"
"Simple. I need you to find these objects."
Handing a paper from her, Evan takes it and examines it. There is only a few to get, one of them seem to be a blue flower, they call it Remedium, a plant that could cure all of diseases, the flower's substance has a cure that could able to destroy anything that threatens the body like Covid, Tumors, Cancer, and even curing something that is literally incurable. If it was on Earth, it would cause trillions and could revolutionize every society, might even cause a war on how valuable it was.
The origins of these flowers came from the continent of Alfen-Nova, a lost continent filled with an endangered species known as Elves. Those flowers are very common in the lands and they always use it as decorations on their homes. But it is also the real reason why it caused a long war between humans and elves several thousands years ago because of their greed until a few decades later they stopped and began to have a treaty.
As it is, unfortunately, there are only two left in Fordalt because during the Second Great War, many of them were all destroyed after the monsters invaded the Alfen-Nova continent, not just the flowers but also the elves, which were on the brink of extinction.
Right now, the last two Remedium flowers were located at one of the Senadate Theocracy Council members' castles.
"They seem difficult to get. If I succeed, what's our reward?"
Wave smirked, "...You can return to your home world."
Her words are like a bolt of lightning struck Vanoss down, hearing her words made him drop his coffee. He slightly looks at the Draconian with hesitation in his voice.
"H-H-How did you-"
"My Goddess told me about you and your friends' origins. If you get the things that she wanted, then you and your friends might have a chance to return to your homeworld."
What her words seems very valuable, not only him but all of his friends, it's not about money or anything will make their life change, its about returning their homes.
"But..."
Vanoss has some difficult decision, if he and his friends did return to their world, what about this world? Well, they have only been here for nearly two months but they are getting attached to it.
"I know what you are thinking. But don't worry, not only will it return to your homeworld, it will send you to different worlds without any consequences."
"Really? But, how can I trust you? We just met just ten minutes ago."
"You don't need to. If you ignore my words, you can stay in this world for the rest of your life if you like it or not."
"Okay, fine, but those requests from your Goddess seem simple for a Demigod like you? Why us?"
"Simple really. The Theocracy has a really bad taste for the Midnight Order, most of them see us as a Terrorist group same as the Church of Carnage, so asking them is pretty much a bad idea."
"Ah, make sense, those bastards think Demihumans are all children of demons, right?"
"Yeah, typical religious groups."
Vanoss' eyes narrowed, "My friend Nogla might be offended by this but whatever. So, me and the group need to infiltrate that dude Von Snow's castle, take the flower then mission done?
"Mr. Fong, don't be arrogant, the Theocracy is pretty much a very powerful nation, very powerful that could give the Empire, the Republic, and every nation in Fordalt a challenge alone, the Theocracy has known to be has the largest military branch, the projected end strength for the Regular Army of theirs were 10,380,893 Knights and Mages; the Army National Guard had over 3,360,129 soldiers, the Army Reserve had 1,889,703 soldiers, and they have over 5,411 of A-ranks in their ranks which made them has the most largest A-rank warriors and mages in their nation in the whole continent; the combined-component strength of the Theocracy's Army was 15,636,136 personnels. So infiltrating one of the Councilman's cities is like raiding Area 51 in your world."
"Wait, how did you know Area 51?"
"My goddess knew something that none of this world has. But it doesn't matter right now, you got a mission to do soon. Do we have a deal, Mr. Fong?"
Vanoss stroked his chin and hummed, "Hmmm..."
'Should I? But I do miss playing Earth games, and I'm kinda worried about my channel, thinking about the comments of my fans will be a headache.'
"Fine, deal. Before I started, did you have any plans for it?"
"Of course, the Goddess always thinks far ahead than any of us."
"Sweet, should I tell my friends about this?"
"Sure, I don't mind. I think we-... hold up."
Immediately, she pulls out a watch in her pocket, seeing the current time, her eyes widened."
"Oh, look at the time, I need to go, Mr. Fong. It is nice knowing."
"Same."
As Wave was about to teleport away, she has something in mind and return her gaze at Evan with a hint of hesitation in her eyes.
"Oh, and one more thing, my Goddess told me that once you complete your mission, you better be careful with... my sister next.
"Your sister? Why?"
Wave simply shrugged, "Don't know. She didn't said more. I don't really much know about her but what I know about my sister is she... is kinda ruthless. I think I don't want to said more but I will leave now, I'll see you again, Mr. Fong."
Like that, she poof away.
"Damn, she stole my magic trick," Vanoss remarked, taking a sip from Wave's coffee she left. As he took his 3rd sip, his eyes immediately took a realization.
"Ahhhhhh shit! She didn't take me back! Fuck! Fuck! FUCK!!"
"Mr. Vanoss, is that you?"
Looking at the source, Vanoss spotted a blonde hair cat with heterochromia eyes outside of the Cafe.
"Oh thank baby Jesus, Julian!"
Going inside the cafe, Julian sat down with Evan and immediately ordered one coffee.
"Ah, Mr. Vanoss, I never expect you to be in my home country."
"Yeah, I never expected to meet your sorry ass. How's that Prince we just saved?"
"Him? He returns and brace his family. Also, where are your friends?"
"At home. Doing whatever they usually do."
"Are you here alone? You might be bored, I think. What's the long face? You not look so good. Let me guess, is it some troublesome person you just met?"
"Oh right, thanks for mentioning it, Julian. I got one question. Do you know who is Wave Zhong?"
Almost instantly, the atmosphere froze.
Julian looked at him with a strange expression, "Could it be, the troublesome person you said you met was her?"
Vanoss nodded, curious about his reaction.
Julian looks at him with a serious expression, "Mr. Vanoss, it's better if you don't become too close to her."
"Huh? Is she dangerous or something like that?" Vanoss was curious. From what he saw just a few seconds ago, she did not seem like someone to be careful of.
Quite the opposite, she was a bit of an airhead.
"Mr. Vanoss, Wave Zhong is the head director of Midnight Order, one of the most powerful Demigods in the world, and my boss. Even if you don't know her name, I'm sure you have heard of her nickname the "Demon Dragon Queen"."
"Nope, never heard of her. And what kind of name is that? Sounds incredibly edgy."
He did not know about her, he didn't belong to this world so it make sense.
"Are you living under a rock? Most people in this world knew her, and... ah, fuck it. Doesn't matter, let me explain...
...Wave, the Saintess of Midnight Kairos. A powerful Demigod famous by the hordes of enemies she had killed through the years...
...the reason she received that nickname was due to an incident that occurred around 100 or 200 years ago what I've remembered. According to my knowledge, there was a infamous Bandit group known as the 'Burning Horse'. They are infamous for destroying and burning countless villages and towns for the past ten years without losing a battle, they even have two Demigods as their members and nine Fire Elemental horses, peak [B+] ranks. With those burning horses, they are pretty much formidable forces, which is one of the reasons they are a very dangerous group...
...In that time, they sent out their full forces of 300,000 of their members, Two demigods and nine Fire Elemental Horses reached a small city and attacked it. They send this large army because one of the Nobles who owned the city provoked the leader which pisses him off, sending out a large force as revenge. I mean... getting insult by one kid and send out your entire forces to attack him, that is kinda overkill, did you think?"
"Yeah…
'Hehe, it's a bit funny because it kinda reminds me of one of my friends joking about the President sending our shit tons of Nukes on one single Zombie.' Vanoss thought, remembering that one joke his friends made a very long time ago during their Black Ops moments.
"Back to my story, the problem was, they did not know that Wave was staying in that city. And you know what happens next?"
"She defeated them all?"
"No... she completely slaughtered them." Julian said with a hint of fear in his voice. "Over 300,000 of them, less than 20 survivors. Two Demigods, perished. The fire elemental horses, decimated. Of course a Demigod can do that but what made me so scared of her is the records I have read, is that even all of their souls were destroyed. I mean completely, none of them went to any afterlife, just ceased to exist.
...since then, the title of [Demon Dragon Queen] became famous throughout the continent. It was said that whenever the saintess of Midnight Order appears, all her enemies run away...
...In fact, Miss Wave is feared even among the innocents. You probably have heard that our Foundation is not interested in authority or power, right? That is true, one of our many roles is purely that of guardians of the innocents...
...but, if they consider that something or someone threatens the safety of the innocent lives, they will not hesitate to get rid of them, regardless of their position or authority. Even if the other party is also part innocent too, they will not hesitate...

Hearing everything Julian has said, Vanoss has a bewildered expression. He never thought the same Lizard lady he was just making a deal with was so dangerous.
And then, there is something in his mind. Did he just make a deal with the devil?

Vanoss nodded.
Seeing he agreed, Julian then stood up and looked at Evan with an elegant look, "I'll be going, Mr. Vanoss. I have other work to do. Is there anything you like?
"Yeah, can you tell me where the nearest Airport?"
