Chapitre 19: War.

I noticed that there was a cold war situation when I arrived at the Dojo after parking my Bike outside.

There was a familiar and an unfamiliar face talking to our two Senseis, who had decided to combine their Dojos for the meantime to gain an advantage over Cobra Kai.

And though the person was unrecognisable from behind, it quickly became clear who he was when I joined the four men in the open Dojo.

I noticed that the rest of the students were inside, peeking through the double doors out of curiosity.

"Ah, the Young Beast." Terry called out with a charming smile.

I was alarmed at that title, because there was only one place in Los Angeles where I was known by that name— The Underground Battle Cage.

"What, here to declare war like a couple of morons?" I questioned as I looked at Kreese with a scowl, "And I see that you've brought your sponsor along as well."

"Maybe I could sponsor you, who knows?" Terry remarked with a knowing smile, "A talent like you shouldn't be confined amongst these children."

"Oh, what do you know about him?" My Sensei, Daniel stepped forward to confront Silver, "Alex was the first guy to realise the fault in what you guys teach, that's why he left Cobra Kai and joined us!"

~

"Are they really fighting over him now?" Sam whispered as she watched the argument with the other students.

"Well, Alex is our star player." Dimitri reasoned.

"We also have Miguel and me, don't forget that." Hawk argued after feeling a bit jealous.

"I wouldn't go that far to say that we're on the same level." Miguel stated nervously, because he had first hand experienced how strong Alex was.

"Will Alex join Cobra Kai?" Big Red doubted.

"We.. Can't tell for sure, it's Alex we're talking about." Chris stated nervously.

~

'Well, not actually.' I thought to Daniel's point, 'The reason I joined Miyagi-Do was because I lacked defensive techniques, and you've not disappointed me until now.'

Truth to be told, Daniel was the better Sensei amongst the four, even if he mostly remained a bit too passive to the aggression of our enemies.

That is where Johnny came in, because the guy was all about aggression and offensive techniques.

As for the couple of old men before me, they were just scheming bastards who wanted to bring Cobra Kai back to glory by using their students as expendable resources.

"But is he content by everything you've taught him?" Terry challenged Daniel's statement, "Maybe there's more he could learn at Cobra Kai."

"I know that we had our past differences." Kreese directed his words at me and grabbed everyone's attention, "But I'm willing to overlook your actions since you've proved yourself as the best."

"Oh, have I?" I chuckled in amusement, "I think you should be worried about your other star student instead of luring me with your offers."

"How long has it been since Tory showed up at your Dojo?" I questioned with an evil smirk playing on my lips.

Kreese furrowed his brows into a deep frown when he realised what I meant.

"Yeah, there goes your female Champ." I chuckled sadistically and went to the inner Dojo to change into my workout clothes.

I don't know about the rest of the conversation they had, but the two were gone by the time I came back and joined the students.

"So, what happened while I was gone?" I asked while standing next to Sam.

"Our Dojos made a non aggression pact until the tournament." Sam replied and glanced at our two Senseis, "But it seems my Dad and Johnny have their own differences to settle first."

Yeah, the two were arguing like love birds.

"You know we cannot trust Kreese!" Daniel shouted at Johnny to make his point, "And with Silver joining him, we don't know what they could be planning!"

"That's why I'm telling you that we have to fight back!" Johnny argued passionately, "We have to teach our students how to attack, because hiding like a pussy is all your Miyagi style karate knows!"

"Oh, we know who was the pussy when I kicked your face with my Miyagi style Karate!" Daniel took offense at the disrespect.

"An illegal kick you got lucky with." Johnny stepped forward as the argument got heated, "You wanna try that again?" He called out in a low voice.

"With pleasure, but what would your students think? That their Sensei doesn't know how to defend?" Daniel shot back.

"How about you two get a room?" I called out to break the argument with a forced smile, "Maybe the rest of us can begin today's training that way."

The Two middle aged men realised that they were bickering like children in front of their students and decided to back down, for now.

"Why did that Highlander guy call you the Young Beast, Alex?" Big Red questioned by looking up at me with his bespectacled curios eyes.

"Yeah, and what did you mean by Tory not showing up at their Dojo?" Sam suspiciously narrowed her eyes at me.

"Tory and I met a couple of days ago and sorted out our differences, after you know, I slapped her that night at your house." I explained a bit awkwardly and sighed, "Anyways, I convinced her to leave Cobra Kai."

"That's great!" Johnny cheered up, since Tory was his former student and was capable of becoming the female Champ.

"She still hasn't decided if she wants to join us." I pursed my lips and gave him the bad news.

"Because of me, right?" Sam stepped forward and looked up at me, "I think it's better if she stays at Cobra Kai, Alex."

"She's already paid the price, Sam." I gave her an understanding look, "And you don't know anything about her life and how she has to manage everything on her own."

Sam pursed her lips as she didn't know how to argue to that, "Still, I know she hates my guts." She looked seriously at me, "And the feeling's mutual."

I sighed and ubderstanfingly nodded at her, since I knew words wasn't enough to cure their enemity.

"Let's begin today's session with Katas!" Daniel called out once everybody had calmed down.

"Katas? We should be chopping bricks and strengthening our bones right now!" Johnny immediately took the stage.

"These Katas are the fundamentals of Miyagi-Do Karate." Daniel argued.

"Yeah? Eagle Fang Karate believes in toughness and strength." Johnny argued back.

"Eagle Fang didn't even exist until a few days ago." Daniel didn't back down.

"This is going to take a while." I sighed to myself and decided to warm up the students myself.

"Let's have some sparring session while our Senseis figure out what to teach us." I stated and moved towards the sparring area, "It's great way to show off what you guys have learnt at your respective Dojos."

"Yeah, that sounds fun." Chris agreed excitedly.

"It's like Miyagi-Do versus Eagle Fang in a way." Miguel understood and tagged along.

"Doesn't seem that bad." Hawk also agreed, albeit a bit reluctantly since the idea was mine.

"Well, I'll get to kick your ass." Sam joyously beamed at me as she followed the rest of the students.

"We'll do this the tournament style, which means it also includes warnings for illegal attacks and disqualification." I called out once everybody had gathered around me, "And obviously, I'll be the referee, but you also get to challenge me once you've qualified."

"Why do you get to be the champion qualifier and referee?" Hawk argued to my role in all of this.

"You wanna find out?" I challenged with a meaningful smirk, which made the Hawk back down nervously.

"I guess we can leave it upto him for now." Daniel stated when he saw Alex taking in charge of today's session.

"I agree." Johnny nodded when he saw the students following Alex like he was their leader.

As their top fighter, Johnny believed that Alexander had earned that privilege.

"Wick is strong, but I cannot say the same about the rest of your students." Johnny called out condescendingly, "Why don't we settle this the old fashioned way?"

"Something I can finally agree on." Daniel chuckled and decided to take their discussion outside the Dojo.

Meanwhile, Terry paced around the office of Cobra Kai's Dojo, as Kreese simply watched his old friend and wondered what he was thinking.

"That boy is bad news, Kreese." Terry stopped pacing and finally said something, "I was hoping that we could lure him with sponsorships, but it doesn't seem like he's concerned about money."

"The boy is a natural fighter." Kreese nodded in agreement, "It's unfortunate we cannot have him at our side."

"No, you don't understand." Terry stepped closer and gravely looked into his friend's eyes, "I have seen him fight, Kreese. And I mean, fight for real, against men twice his age and experienced in deadly techniques. I've seen him toy with them like they were his playthings, and even destroy them when things got too far."

Kreese understood the severity of his words when he saw the intense gleem in Terry's eyes. He was terrified.

"And now with our female Champion gone." Terry stepped away and sighed with a thoughtful expression, "We need to show these kids how big the world actually is."

"What do you mean?" Kreese raised an eyebrow in question.

"We need reinforcements." Terry answered by turning to face him, "Because believe it or not, those students back there can't even compare to our enemy's average fighters."

"And.. Where are you gonna get these reinforcements from?" Kreese questioned with a delightful grin, since he liked the plan.

"I've made a lot of friends around the world, my old friend." Terry smiled meaningfully and patted his shoulders in assurance, "Trust me, we're going to wipe the mat off that arrogant prick." Terry laughed, "And I don't mean the Larusso brat this time."

With Terry forming a vicious plan to defeat the biggest hurdle in their path, New players were going to join the game and give a proper challenge to All Valley's Young Beast.

"He's not going to know what hit him." Terry grinned in excitement and took out his phone, before he dialled a number that connected him directly to a friend in Beijing, China.

As for the female Champion, he already had an Iron Dragon in his mind, who could be easily recruited to the Cobra Kai with a generous sponsorship.
