I get up from the bed, walk to my window, and sit on the ledge.
It's a beautiful day. The sun is shining, and there isn't a cloud in the sky.
Contrary to how I am feeling.
It is a welcoming day considering the storm the night before. Hopefully, my life will play out like the weather. Today will hopefully bring me some good news.
I rake my hands through my hair and massage my neck. I am starting to feel depressed and lost. Sadly, nothing, nor anyone, will probably get me out of my stupor.
My parents come in like clockwork every thirty minutes to check on me. Once again, I am relieved they don't ask any questions. I'm not up for talking to anyone about what happened or how I feel. Not because
of how I'm feeling or even Ryder. It just hurts to lie to my parents.
I look towards the grounds, and two police officers are sitting in their cars. They've been here all week.
