Chapitre 229: Uninvited reinforcements

Back behind the mountain, Stefan and Arthur were watching the mages who were preparing to construct the shield that would protect the town. There were about seven of them, all with determined expressions, which piqued Stefan's interest.

"Their abilities must have evolved." He spoke quietly to Arthur, who nodded in agreement.

"I believe so as well. Katherine did spend a significant amount of time with them before losing her memories." Arthur said, sighing deeply. "It's all so enigmatic."

Stefan nodded, his eyes transforming into a purple reptile-like form that sensed dark energy. He could feel the energy lingering in the air and had a good idea of who were present.

"Statkus mages." He spoke in hushed tones, and when Arthur heard him, he widened his eyes in surprise and turned his gaze to Stefan.

"What?" 

"Do not construct the shield!" Stefan yelled at the mages, and they all turned their heads, astounded.
