4 Years Later:--

From bottom to top, the first three are called inferior ghoul investigators, and the latter three are called superior ghoul investigators and the latter one's are very professional and respected by everyone in their field and in work.
On this day four years later, Leon is still a Rank 3 Investigator.

There is no mention of 'what is terrifying thing happened' in the original work.
But when Leon transmigrated here and see's the whole process with his own eyes and see's it very clearly, Now he know 'what is that terrifying thing' that mentioned in the original work, Kaneki's father was killed in front of him.
Fortunately, the investigator arrived in time, and Kaneki was saved, but also because of his father death in front kaneki, this incident just hit him too much.
So his brain seemed to choose indirect amnesia in order to 'protect himself'. After that, he could not remember the situation at that time, only remembering the death of his father, which made him feel very frightened and scary.
Leon watched the fourth season before being transmigrated, he did not understand why the author did not mention this matter again.
However, Leon did not intend to guess the author's thoughts. After all, now he no longer looking at an Anime for him, it is a real world.

This made Kaneki, who was originally waving his toy knife at home to had dumbfounded for a moment.

"Mother said to stop talking to you!"
Kaneki said to voice in his head.
Kaneki's home is not very big. Of course, his mother noticed his sudden self-talk, and that scared her to the core on the spot.
She thought her son's 'illness' had been completely recovered, but she don't want it to happen again or probably not at this time of her and his life.
This made her feel nervous and worried again.
The husband has just passed away.
And now the son talking to himself after she and her husband thought that he was recovered.
Deeply worried, she had taken Kaneki to seek a famous doctor help again and when the famous doctor help doesn't work, then going to the temple.
In short, all kinds of strange methods have been tried. But in the end, the voice in Kaneki's mind couldn't be 'expelled'.
