"You," Persephone began, jabbing a playful finger toward her. "You haven't called me. Care to explain why?"
Of course, she already had a good idea of the answer. But deep down, she wanted to hear it from Ginny herself. Maybe a small part of her even hoped for a different reason—something more reassuring, something that might soothe the quiet unease that had been torturing her.
She watched as Ginny gulped, her hazel eyes darting momentarily before settling back on Persephone's face. Her mouth opened, then shut again, as if she were wrestling with her words. The hesitation was oddly endearing, but Persephone wasn't in the mood for excuses or half-truths.
"Please, don't bother lying," she said, her voice soft but firm as she crossed her arms, adopting a slightly defensive stance. Her playful demeanor gave way to a faint frown. "I'd prefer it if people were honest with me."
Some dialogues here were changed and improved too. I found some of them a little off so I needed to fix them. You can read Ginny's POV on Chap 5, if you'd like.
