OK, I've dumped a fair amount of coins on this, and it's time to give initial feedback. The writing is rough. Could use an Editor's loving touch or at least a few passes through Grammerly. But that doesn't matter because the plot moves along at a decent pace, without any false attempts at high style or fancy interiority. The author knows what we here for a and gives it to us. An ambitious upstart who uses his secret geeky knowledge from his former primary world life to carve his own kingdom. We have a low-fantastic secondary world that roughly mirrors our own, specifically the Classical Hellenic world of the Peloponnesian Wars. The story roughly starts as Anabasis and then morphs into Alexander's Persian campaign. The smut and harem building is meh. Having slavegirls actually say "uwu" is tacky. The main squeeze girlboss-hear-me-roar somehow defeats a veteran hoplite with a weight, height, reach, and experience advantage, which is just silly. But I guess anime watching kids expect this these days. All in all, it's not Blood and Steel, but already better than the abortion that was Tyranny of Steel. Author-kun should consider reading John Norman's Gor novels for inspiration and style cues for putting slavegirls to use. Overall, 7/10 as of now, will keep reading.
Updating my review again because the last 230 chapters of the Margrave arc have been some of the most painful reading I've ever done. Every character involved in the arc is a blithering idiot and deserves anything bad that happens to them. This arc has made me drop the novel several times and only my hope that it was over gets me to checks every few months.
A good read The logo has already caught me. And I've always liked the kingdom building theme. The global fund has already won me over, and it really is a good read.
Starts off pretty good which makes it all the more depressing that the MC starts drinking stoopid juice. MC suddenly loses all negotation skills out of no where MC turns from a veteran conquerer into a sniveling baby on the battlefield Seems like the only modern technique he brought back with his reincarnation was the lobotomy (which he used offscreen ig)
this story is just bad don't read it It's a waste of time tyrant of steel or any other books by that author is much better. this write bates you with tropes that you love to read like a reincarnated person building a nation using the skills of his previous life but frankly it wouldn't change anything if the character was reincarnated or not in this story. we love to see the reincarnated knowledge as a superpower but hear its completely wasted. the authors establishes characters that you should like only to make you hate them leaving you with no characters you like. frankly i feel my expectations were betrayed. i have just one sentence to say at the end " this story doesn't deserve to be read "
2nd read through. It’s good, the MC uses cheats but not as bad as other novels cheats. The characters are well done and the author is good at having realistic army sizes, money amounts, and other little details. AND the 18+😍😍🥰🥰🥵🥵🥵🥵
I like the story very much. The storyline is good, world building is great. The characters are always developing which I personally love. Which makes characters unpredictable and gives them the human aspect. The mc is filled with inconsistency, hippocracy, lust, ambition, greed, shortsightedness, pride and all that is human. Both good and bad. This is what makes me read the novel. The mc is just another guy and not some hyper focused, machine like, nerves of steel, fixed to the plot type of character. If I had to complain to the author I would say pacing is bad. Some important events are one chapter other times he explains some useless things for eight chapters. But I still love the work.
The mc makes many stupid and illogical decisions, especially later on when he decides to treat slaves better than he treats normal people. Also gives 50% of his business where he did all the work to a slave, again, completely illogical decision.(ch.208)

I love that the MC of this story isn't some overpowered hero with some "System" and/or "Cheat Skill", but instead a regular person whose only real advantages are his knowlege of history and modern machinary. It's a nice change of pace to see the MC go through real struggles to establish his own dynasty, instead of having everything just workout for him.
the story was pretty good up until the sale. it's like Alex suddenly became an idiot and lost his IQ and was super easy to get seduced. it's actually so frustrating. the same thing has been happening over and over with Linda, and it's kinda dumb how normally he can see his way out of traps when he can't see such a simple trap. Linda in my honest opinion has no character development and no motive. should have just made her the real villian innstead or randomly putting in political struggles with no real meaning.

Chapter 40 in and this novel has one of the best word building with rich details and logical reasoning. The only problem is that it's bit of a drag and Pacing is slow af and that why people can find it vary confusing if they don't pay attention.
Really great the first couple hundred chapters but it eventually turns from bad to worse. I'm not sure if the writer/author has been changed or if he has no more motivation in his book but it's starting to get milked. long unnecessary descriptions, Stuff that gets pulled into multiple chapters and as of late more POV changes going up to 6 chapters long about unimportant background characters. The way he writes about morality and stuff also greatly changes which makes me believe the author/writer changed. All in all its massive drop in quality. I've stopped supporting his work, I'm no longer paying coins to read.

I love this Kingdom building web novel. The world building and character development is amazing and realistic. A MC can’t just use his modern knowledge to quickly create a kingdom, create fire arms and take over the world. I love how creating a blast furnace create political and economic problems. I love how religion plays a major role in creating “common sense” / describing what’s right or wrong. I love how the Mc makes mistakes and isn’t perfect. Like winning every war. Throughout the novel, the MC is also depicted as an intelligent and lustful man. However, woman can be dangerous. I’m glad that the author recently address this situation. Perhaps, now the Mc will become acute when facing woman. This novel is amazing. Slowly building up the technology latter and adding new reforms. I love it.
I love reading this novel. This is the most realistic Kingdom building novel ever! It’s exciting, shocking! My emotions are crazy while reading this novel. The MC makes realistic mistakes, and his enemies are challenging. This novel demonstrates that nobody is perfect.
If Menes losses again, Alexander should replace this black general.. All he does it lose big battles. Why bring cavalry when you just want to play hide and seek in the Hills? This Menes is so inept as a commander / general.
I had my ups and downs with this book. Sometimes I loved it sometiems i hated it. But I guess waking strong emotions in a reader is what separates a great book from a good one! Author also greatly improved his story development, finding the right balance between details and speed. I Myself also love the character development and diverse romance/adult parts. All in a great book I can recommend.
70 Chapters in ---A realistic novel. Some minor writing errors;not grammatical. Story pacing is slow as even after 70 chapters only 2 days have passed, if I'm correct. Still, with the amount of bg and the number of characters, it seems slow pacing was too important so can't blame the author. Realistic scenes of fighting for ex. when supposedly female lead was swordfighting with a male, she won after he mistakenly let her get on his back after one single missed strike. She easily cut his head from there, so it was actually quite realistic. World background is actually quite, good. Character development is quite good as even after so many names and characters, I can still understand and remember most of the important cast. OVERALL - until 70 Chapters, Since only a battle scenario has passed, an actually realistic battle full webnovel with great character development and great story to follow.
The story starts confusing and then the story starts to fall off. Still worth reading if you like kingdom building.
Is there ntr?, because in chapter 178 the author says that perhaps it could exist later. ...................... ....................................................................................
Updating my review because I'm really not enjoying where the novel is going in the latest chapters.
So far as I had read 10 chapters. The story seems alike with another novel named "Mediterranean Hegemon of Ancient Greece". is this considered Plagrialism?
HI, Can somebody spoil me? What happens in the war against Tibias? Does Zanzan fall to Tibias? Does Alexander come back to a broken city? or will they Win? 1. How come the royals are so optimistic about the war? In the previous chapters, they were so pessimistic about Zanzan chances when the coalition attacked them. Now they keep on saying Zanzan will survive when they already lost once.
150 chapters and only 6 days have passed this is too slow and unrealistic.. there´s too many little details that the more you read the more you realize that there´s actually nothing happening, also the author gives little foreshadows that are extremely annoying.

I cannot in good conscience support this novel. Chapter 797 disgusted me. I can understand to a degree about certain practices of the old times being foul but time accurate. However the author took way too much time describing the appearances of something so vile.. I feel disgusted by how much money I spent reading up to this point
