Chapitre 6: Titanomachy l

The Titanesses and Oceanus did not join in on the conflict, but the Titans….

In their rage they transformed the face of the Earth, as continents were torn from the world. New oceans were gouged out and for 9 years, Zeus and his siblings, battled the Titans across the Earth.

They fought tooth and claw, hoof and fang. As that which could stop them, did not exist in nature. The shining star of such battles was always Aemond.

From upon a horse he rerouted the Titans whole infrastructure with carefully laid plans and specific allies that kept the gods afloat in the war, even if Poseidon and Zeus would not say outloud.

——

"Lord Aemond! The titans have begun another battle." Voices of Nymphs called out for the weaver. "Zeus has attacked Cronos alone, he is in trouble!"

"Of course he did." Aemond answers back from inside his shelter.

In side his shelter, Aemond sits practicing with his divinity, scoping his limits just as he did in the belly with meditation. One thing he did realize is that he could manipulate the past, present and future through what he called through the mind, 'Dream Walking.' Going into someone's mind and changing their past, present and future.

'Will this work on one of divine birth?' Some hesitation had creeped its way in to his mind. 'Only one way to find out.'

——

"Damn you, Kronos!" Zeus bellows out. A fierce battle raged in the background as the ground shook and the sky trembled.

From the tips of his fingers, a dance of cascading lightning flowed beautifully across the sky.

With a swing and a hook motion, Cronos's scythe catches something with its blade. 'The….Sky?' Zeus internally says with confusion.

With a pull, the sky is pulled like fabric in front of his body as the lightning reaches him, distorting itself and warping into nothing.

"ĤĀ!" Cronos's exclaims as he then drags his weapon across the sky. Slashes of energy is released as it plummets into the mountain Zeus found himself on.

*SLASH* A flash of blue light teleports Zeus away from the attack, good, since the mountain collapses in on itself.

Zeus quickly realized the scythes power. 'That would be Ouranos's scythe. The original sky father! How can he use its power without being god of the sky?'

Zeus mutters, "Such power." Their battle continued with Zeus being even more wary of his father's power. 'Can we even win?' A doubt filled thought crossed his mind. The weight of leadership had sunken his shoulders ever since their losses had pilled up.

'But….Aemond. Is he better than me? How could he be better?!'

< He's never lost a battle so far. > Even his own thoughts had disagreed with him.

'That does not mean he is better!!'

< Then tell us. How are you better? >

While he was battling himself internally, another battle was happening outside as Zeus's body went on….'autopilot'. His body not under conscious control, well...…not HIS.

Cronos POV

The brat was lucky he made it this long. Long should my subjects have obliterated them from this life and yet, here they are. Upstarted by Gaea, led by the welp, Zeus and encouraged by that lickspittle, Aemond.

By the first ones did I loathe them. Their weak and meaningless lives would be SNUFFED OUT BY ME!

< you can try. After all, 'they' will stop you. Or at least, 'they'll' try. >

'What? What is this? TELL ME YOUR NAME!'

Thoughts not his, flooded his head. < you need not know my name, My friend, only what I could do for you. >

Cronos looked around, time had stopped. Nothing moved except him, as he walked a silent world. His giant hand moved towards Zeus, reaching his neck and twisting with all his might. And yet, his hand passed right through.

'What is this?' He asked in wonder.

< Don't worry. I have come to help you. >

'Help? A being capable of stopping time has come to help me? Why?'

< Dear Cronos, your destiny is one of tragic end. The inevitability of the end of your reign has been woven and your string is coming to a conclusion. > The words of the mysterious person had shaken him a little. While he could verify if that was true, the implications of such a thing was…..somewhat frightening.

'How do I know you speak the truth?'

<…..Do you not see it for yourself?——> Flashbacks of his past flashed through his eyes as he saw the subtle looks of...them.

His brothers that placed mistrust in him. Looks of deceit were casted upon him as he swallowed his future usurpers. Could they not see the danger the children possessed? Were they not there when Gaea had told him of his prophecy. < Your mind is like water, my friend. When it gets agitated, it becomes difficult to see. But if you allow it to settle, the answer becomes clear. >

Realization dawned on him. 'They have never been loyal to me....all this time, they were all jealous, all backstabbing sycophants! HOW COULD THEY, ILL…..ILL KILL THEM ALL!'

< Wait my friend. Perhaps something good may come of this…>

'What do you mean?'

< Listen close…>
