Chapitre 438: Thank You, Fugitive Black, for the Firebolt?

"Well, that's all I have to say tonight! If you have any doubts, feel free to write to your parents about them…"

Having given his instructions, Dumbledore dismissed the meeting and allowed them to return to their rooms.

The prefects immediately stood up and ushered the junior wizards back to their rooms.

Almost all of the junior wizards were talking about Sirius and Peter, and when the prefects scolded them, it didn't work.

It can't be helped. Dumbledore's announcement was simply too shocking!

"Do you really believe what Professor Dumbledore says? That Black is not a fugitive but a hero?"

"Why not? Professor Dumbledore was very clear about it. Even Harry came forward to explain. He couldn't possibly have made a mistake about who his enemies were, could he? And that Dark Mark, it was horrible!"

"But how could the Ministry be wrong? Before I came to school, my mother told me to be careful not to run into Black…"

Under the great shock and controversy, many young wizards and witches returned to their dormitories and spontaneously wrote letters asking for advice on this amazing incident…

One by one, owls carrying letters flew out of Hogwarts…

Ivan, watching from the window of the Gryffindor Lounge, nodded to himself. This was not unlike what he had expected.

His public announcement of Sirius at Hogwarts was intended to gain the attention of the students' parents.

Of course, that wasn't enough. He had to catch the Ministry off guard!

By the time Fudge gets to work tomorrow morning, news of Sirius will be all over the wizarding world!

To do so, the Daily Prophet is essential!

However, this newspaper had always been a mouthpiece for the Ministry of Magic, and had caused a lot of trouble for Harry and the others in the original timeline…

The Gryffindor Lounge was filled with laughter as Yvonne leaned against the bed and tried to think of an idea.

Having cleared his name in the Great Hall, Sirius was invited to the Gryffindor Lounge by Harry and Dumbledore.

However, due to the rumours surrounding him, many of the young lions were afraid of him, and only Harry and the others were close to him.

"Mr. Black, can you tell us how you defeated You-Know-Who and his regiment?" Hermione asked, suddenly intrigued.

'If you'd like to hear it, sure!' Sirius nodded, thinking this was a good opportunity to get closer.

Dumbledore once told him in the Great Hall to try to gain the trust of the students and influence their parents.

In short, the more attention the trial attracted, the less likely the Ministry of Magic would try anything funny, which was why he was there.

Sirius cleared his throat and tried to form the words to tell the tale.

Since the Order's existence was, of course, a secret, these young wizards had no need to know, so in Sirius's story it was changed to a spontaneous civil resistance group …

There were some minor changes, but all of the stories were true, and Sirius was quite eloquent, so Harry and the others listened with great interest.

A large number of Gryffindor wizards were drawn to the story.

At first, they only dared to sit at a distance and listen, but as Sirius went on and on, they soon got closer and closer to each other, until they were able to squeeze over to the side with their stools.

For a moment, everyone forgot that Black was, in their minds, the infamous fugitive from justice yesterday.

It can't be helped; Sirius's tales of nerve-racking adventures are so much to their liking, and they are told against powerful and wicked mystics who have little or no resistance.

This was especially true when Sirius told them about the Death Eaters' murderous and destructive activities, which aroused everyone's anger.

Sirius only smiled on the outside, but in his heart, he was shaking his head. Only those who lived in those times understood how difficult Death Eaters could be, but it was good to have the intention!

"I heard from my grandmother that my parents were involved in the fight against the Death Eaters. Is that true?" Neville asked weakly from his seat in the corner.

"Yes, that's right! They were great heroes! Strongest resistance!" Sirius continued with a silent sigh as he looked at Neville.

"Sadly, after You-Know-Who's downfall, a number of insane Death Eaters tried to find out where You-Know-Who was and captured your parents, torturing them with the Cruciatus Curse! Your parents were very strong-willed and refused to reveal anything, but their minds were greatly affected…"

Neville had curled up in a corner and was quietly sobbing as he listened to Sirius, and many of the young Gryffindor wizards were consoling and encouraging him.

Sirius's story slowly comes to an end, beginning with the events around the time of Harry's birth, and his discussion with James that he would be Harry's godfather when Harry was born…

"Wait, did you just say you're also my godfather?" Harry interrupted, looking at Sirius with surprise and delight.

"Yes! It was promised to me and James before you were even born!" Sirius nodded solemnly, then seemed to think of something and asked again.

"By the way, Harry, did you like the Firebolt I gave you earlier?"

"That Firebolt was a gift from you!" Harry exclaimed in astonishment, turning to Ivan. "But I thought it was from Professor Dumbledore?"

"Dumbledore? What makes you think that? Didn't you tell him the truth, Ivan?" Sirius asked, turning to Ivan with displeasure.

"What was I supposed to say? That the fugitive from Azkaban, Sirius Black, had sent two brooms? You know, you didn't exactly impress Harry at the time…"

Ivan, who was leaning against the window, had his train of thought interrupted. He turned his head in exasperation. He had only just managed to come out with this lie.
