Chapitre 214: 214. Then What?

Jael walked into the room and winced. Mauve was in a bad mood, he had completely forgotten about what had transpired in his study because he had then buried himself in work and didn't leave the study until dinner was over.

The good news was that he no longer had to be cooped up in the study and the bad news was that he just wanted to pin her to the bed but by the looks of things that was not going to happen.

She had ignored him all through the last meal and had left as soon as she was done eating. He knew she was awake but she did not attempt to look at him.

He stopped walking and stood at the side of the bed. She had her back to him and didn't look like she was going to turn around to look at him.

Her hair was tied up as she lay in bed and the ends were braided. The cover sheet pulled up to her torso and her arms was folded under her head for support.
