The waiter took us to another part of the restaurant, more private and secluded. He opened the only door standing there and we got in. I darted my gaze around quickly trying to study my environment till my gaze fell on the dinner table and the people I saw sitting there almost made me puke.
What are they doing here? Just who invited the last people I wanted to see in this world? I just couldn't understand what my father and his family were doing here. Both I and Alex sauntered to the table elegantly not minding the jealous glares at me.
"Mother, Grandma!" Alex went ahead to peg his mum and grandma on their cheeks. "It's a good thing you're still in one piece." Grandma Margaret said glaring at me.
Like I could hurt this man even if I wanted to. They should be worried for me not the other way round. Three weeks of marriage already feels like an eternity.
Both women smiled parting his shoulder with a hug. It was evident they loved him so much.
