"Awkward!" Anastasia muttered under her breath.

"Excuse me!" Ella's eyes shot dagger at Anastasia. Even though Anastasia's words were incoherent, Ella could read her lips and picked offence in her remark.

"If you think what my husband just said is awkward, how do you explain your fiance's rude remark towards me? What gives him the right to address me as unfriendly when I don't know him from anywhere." Ella's tone and gaze were laced with loathing.

"As awkward as this might sound, my friend and his wife are both correct." Tom concurred. "You do not go to a place introducing yourself as a friend when you barely know the other person. But correct me if I'm mistaken, have you met these people before?"

"No...it's just..."
