I ran as fast as I could. When I reached my school, I was panting so hard, I could blow the buildings in front of me away.
I panickily dashed around the area, hoping to see any trance of an owl kwami. Thinking of Hedwig, I remembered the time I had lost my tablet pen. Hedwig told me to recall what I had done previously instead of just running around like a maniac.
So I took a deep breath and thought back.
I remember Hedwig moving around in my bottle bag when we were still in the restroom, so she was still with me then. Could she have fallen out while Marinette and I were running in the halls?
As I was hurrying towards the stairs, I felt a small gust of wind come by me. From the corner of my eye, I saw Chloe's white limousine past. In her hand was a small figure, white and ice blue...
I was suddenly reminded of how Tikki was stolen by Chloe in the episode Princess Fragrance. Hedwig probably fell out of my bottle bag when I tripped and fell down the stairs! Chloe must've saw he and wants to use her as a present for Prince Ali! Chloe has Hedwig!
A soon as those thoughts cam to my mind, I ran after the limousine. Needless to say, I was left in the dust.
"Hedwig..." I muttered. Out of the blue, I heard sobbing.
I turned around and saw Rose on the ground, crying over a pile of ripped paper.
Chloe.
I went over to my friend, wanting to comfort her, but the I thought about Hedwig.
I took one more look at Rose before running to the Le Grand Hotel.
********
I tried to calm my trembling body down by taking a deep breath. "Okay," I whispered to myself. "We're here to see Jagged Stone because I was called to help with another design."
I walked up to the doorman standing straight with attention in front of the hotel's sliding doors. "Hello, I'm here to see Jagged Stone to help with a design for his music!"
The doorman looked me up and down with a raised eyebrow. "You?" He asked with disbelief.
Can't blame him. I was covered in sweat thanks to my run here. I probably looked like a mess, who looks like this when meeting with a famous rock-star?
"Uh, yeah! I am," I smiled awkwardly.
"Hmm, very well." He stepped aside and the sliding doors slid open with a hiss. I step in and shivered a little. Th air conditioner in the lobby is so cold! To make matters worse, I was drenched, so it was even chillier for me.
I took the elevator up to the top floor, where Chloe's room is.
*Ding*
I stepped out of the elevator and knocked on Chloe's room door. No one answered.
Then, I realized that she was probably with Prince Ali , to give him Hedwig...
Fueled by the thought of Hedwig being with Chloe, I went back in the elevator to go look for her.
*Ding*
The doors of the elevator opened to reveal Princess Fragrance getting a bunch of reporters under her control.
"At your service Princess Fragrance~!" Sang the reporters.
I snuck behind a control field unnoticed.
Princess Fragrance smirked and stepped towards Prince Ali. "I'm Princess Fragrance, and I've come here just for you! In just a sprits, you'll be mine Prince Ali!" Rose is definitely a sasaeng, who would've thought?
Oh no, this is bad. I looked at the dashboard in front of me and randomly pushed a button, hoping it'll do something to distract Princess Fishstink.
Thankfully, luck was on my side today, well, just in that moment. The button had activated a few canons and confetti was shot out. A few pieces of paper clogged the tip of Princess Fishstink's perfume gun.
While she was busy clearing out the tube, the mayor, Chloe, Prince Ali and his secretary were able to escape. There goes Hedwig.
Also using this chance to escape I followed the group down the emergency stairs.
"Yin Lin?" Sneered Chloe. "What are you doing here?"
"No time to explain, but it has to do with you taking something of mine," I said, glaring back at her. "Let's focus on escaping first."
We ran up the stairs and into a suite. The mayor shut the doors and let out sigh of relief. Unfortunately, that relief didn't last long.
"What is that?" Asked Chloe, pointing at the pink perfume cloud coming from under the door.
The mayor was horrified when he saw the chemicals surround him. "Get back!"
"What are we going to do now? It's a dead end!" Wailed Chloe.
"Not yet!" I turned on a vacuum I had gotten from the trolley of cleaning supplies in the room.
"You can not escape my Perfume!" Said Princes Fishstink, bursting into the suite.
Chloe, like the selfless person she is, pushed me onto Princess Fishstink and ran out. The rest followed in suit. Princess Fishstink's hair tube thingy was tangled up with the curtains, so I was lucky enough to escape.
When I ran out, Chloe screamed, "She's one of them now! She smelled her perfume!"
I raised an eyebrow an her. "I'm completely unaffected, no thanks to you."
Chloe rolled her eyes and stuck out her tongue. "So what?"
"So shut up and run, she might get herself untangled r-NOW!" I ended my sentence with a panicked shout as Princess Fishstink came out of the room.
She spun around in circles, her perfume gun spraying that disgusting scent everywhere.
I was separated from the group by the huge cloud of perfume that now clogged up the hallway. I was about to lose my breath, but then I spotted the service elevator. Just in time! I thought.
I jumped in. After shutting it close, I pressed a few buttons to go up.
I opened the door as soon as the service elevator stopped, anxious to get Hedwig. I decided that I'm going to convince Prince Ali to take off his jacket, he probably kept Hedwig there.
The serviced elevator "dinged" and I climbed out. Glad to do so, that was a tight fit.
I cautiously snuck up to the kitchen doors and peeked out he circular windows. Chloe, Prince Ali and his assistant had just ran out of the stairwells door. Mayor Bourgeois poked his head out, but a butler shoved him back in with a broom and shut the door, looking quite satisfied with himself.
The elevator next to the butler suddenly had pink smoke coming out of it. The golden doors parted to reveal Princess Fishstink.
The butler bowed to Princess Fishstink as she sang. "Come into my arms, my sweet prince~!" That's creepy.
