*Eight Years Later*
In the same forest where the children had been found eight years before, two pairs of eyes were peeking through the gaps in a bush. Neither owner of the eyes said a word, but both were dead-set on two birds sat on a branch in the trees above.
The young boy with purple hair created two spinning almost see through balls, one in each hand. He then put his hands together and shot out a blade seemingly made of wind straight at the birds.
However, unlike the purple haired boy, a blonde boy of the same age had a faint green glow coming from his hands. Seemingly this did nothing, until the purple haired boy's wind blade was about to hit the birds, as the tree branch that they were sat on suddenly grabbed them both out of the way and snapped both of their necks instantly.
The purple haired boy had a look of slight annoyance and determination in his eyes and looked over at the blonde boy, "Again? I really thought I would have been able to beat you this time bro."
These two young boys were Lucian and Shin, who had been named as such by their adopted grandfather Merlin Wolford. Over the past eight years, they had been raised by their grandfather and were currently out hunting.
Lucian had realised within the first week of being in the new world as a baby, that he was in the anime/manga 'Kenja no Mago' or 'Wise Man's Grandchild'. He also realised that his twin brother was the main character Shin Wolford, who was also a person from Earth. Although he had read a bit of the manga, he had never put much thought into it past that and did not remember a whole lot of the story. However, he did know the basics of the world and power system which he felt was helpful enough.
Lucian had also noticed something else when his grandfather showed him and Shin magic for the first time. He could see the magic differently to both Merlin and Shin, and he was able to control it much easier and after a shorter amount of time than Shin had. Lucian connected this to something he had not put much thought into before as he assumed it was just how he was born, he had pointed ears much like that of an elf and not once had he been ill the entire time he had been in this world.
Once he had connected the dots, Lucian assumed that he must somehow be part Elf, or something similar to an Elf. He could not remember if there were Elves in the world that he was in, but Lucian was almost certain that there were none which meant he would be special.
After thinking to himself for a second, Lucian replied to Shin, "Well then you thought wrong, but we should probably bring the meat we got back to the old folks don't you think."
Shin thought for a moment and replied, "Yeah, they must be waiting for us. Its too bad that I couldn't beat you today either."
"Maybe next time, who knows. Lets go then."
While holding all the animals they had hunted, Lucian and Shin ran through the forest and back to their home. Once they arrived, their Grandfather Merlin, a woman who they had come to know as Melinda but they called Grandma, and their Uncle Michel who had been teaching the boys martial arts were all waiting for them.
The first one to speak was the boy's Grandma as she was very surprised, "Did you two catch all of these by yourselves? There's even a wild boar as well! You two need to stop doing such dangerous things, you're only eight. No eight year old kid can kill a Wild Boar like that."
Lucian and Shin both replied in sync, "But there are two of us right here."
Speaking in sync was something that came naturally for Lucian and Shin as they were more in tune with one another than most people due to being twins and normal twin intuition being heightened by magic.
"YOU IDIOTS!!"
Once again, they both replied, "We're sorry Grandma Melinda."
"I really can't put up with you two at all."
Michel then spoke up, "I think it's quite good that the boys are so energetic Miss Melinda. This must be because of all the martial arts training I've been giving you two isn't it?"
An uneasy look appeared on Lucian and Shin's faces once he said this.
Michel continued, "Good, then I'll have to raise the level for your future training. I'll be tougher on you two from now on, so prepare yourselves."
Both boys dropped to their knees and exclaimed, "I knew this was going to happen, this is the worst!"
As Michel had said previously, the training that he was giving both boys was very tough, but it was definitely making them stronger. Michel had been teaching Shin swordsmanship as well as hand to hand combat, but Lucian had mainly focused on the hand to hand combat as he did not care much for swords as he preferred just using magic, and his bare hands if he really had to.
This was not the only training and teaching they got though, as their Grandfather had been teaching them magic for quite a long time already.
Shin had been trying to learn about magic equipment and engraving runes from Melinda, but this did not interest Lucian which caused him to learn something else that he felt was much more interesting.
Lucian taught himself alchemy, as he was able to make plants grow quickly and healthily due to his magic which he was then able to collect and use. Over time, he had learnt the effects of a lot of combinations of plants which caused him to be able to create potions for all sorts of effects with some being temporary, but the more potent and powerful potions being permanent.
The potions that he had created which had the best effects were his permanent overall body strengthening potion which he had drank quite a lot of, his permanent magic amount increasing potion, and his Elemental affinity increasing potions. Lucian viewed these three potions as the most important, as the first meant his body was much more powerful than it would have been if he did not have it. The second potion meant that his overall magic capacity increased which meant he was able to use magic much more freely, however he did not really need this potion as his magic capacity was absolutely enormous to begin with, but better safe than sorry is what he thought. The final potion he felt was the most important, as despite having a high affinity with a lot of elements due to his Elf blood, some were a bit lower than others, and this potion meant they were all as high as he could possibly get them.
*A Bit Later In The Day*
Lucian and Shin were in the forest practicing their magic, as Lucian was swapping between elements as quickly as he could as well as attempting something new. Lucian was trying to combine multiple elements at once in one attack, this was the next step as he had already developed the ability to cast magic of different elements at once but individually. This was good, but he believed it would be stronger if he could combine the elements into one and use magic in that way instead of a single element at once.
However, both boys stopped practicing once they overheard a conversation nearby. It was their Grandma and Grandfather, Melinda was the one the boys heard first, "Isn't it a little bit too soon? You'll increase the boy's burdens even more."
Merlin replied, "It is inevitable, it was decided when the boys first started training. However, the power inside of the twins is more than meets the eye. They both need to get a handle on the power of killing monsters fast..."
