Just as Qattara was about to be killed, there was a slight miscalculation happened in Gar's plan. He looked at the element that he didn't think about it.
" This smell, it is you! How dare you obstruct my movement, Anelia!"
Gar shouted, recognizing the shadow wriggling under his foot.
Crack*
His face was distorted with fury as his human shell began to crack like an egg. Another eye popped out on his forehead and his skin turned crimson red like his power.
" It seems you are at your end, Gar!"
Anelia laughed sinisterly, mocking him with her narrowed eyes and haughty look. She went behind Cross and obediently laid down to devour this delicious prey before her.
" You have gone mad. Even if my vessel is destroyed, do you think you can defeat me with your measly power?"
Gar spoke, dragging his sword which was enlarged by his power. The veins appeared on his sword along with flesh and organs, and disgusting Cross was standing before him with a shadow spear in his hand.
" Talk as much as you want, fallen. In the end, I will kill you all."
Cross spoke whilst looking at the girl whose identity was unknown to him. He was interested in Qattara and her weapons since he didn't have a chance to examine what was so special about these weapons that induced the greed of these monsters.
His black eyes darted around between Qattara and Gar with interest. However, this was a provocation to Gar. He roared with fury and bashed his sword toward him with extreme strength and speed.
Cross squinted his eyes, dodging to his right. He threw shadow knives toward him with precision.
Clang*
Of course, Gar blocked his knives due to their extreme debuff abilities. He knew Anelia had a debuff ability called ' thorn ' which damages her opponent every second when they hit them. It was a pretty nasty ability similar to his corrosion.
Swoosh*
Cross instantly swapped his place with the knife and stabbed him in the ribs. Unlike Qattara's weapons, his weapon had an absolute trait called ' Pierce '.
" Groan* You are a tough mortal. I have never seen a mortal who plays shadow like you. No matter, she is willing to stick with you instead of consuming you."
Gar spoke while looking at him with a serious look. He regarded this boy as his enemy because he could damage him. He was surprised and delighted to meet such a mortal.
Crack*
He pulled out his rib with no care and threw it to the ground. The hissing sound of sand could be heard as Cross watched him.
" What are you waiting for girl?"
Anelia smiled, motioning Gar to look behind. Gar turned his head with confusion and saw Qattara who was standing there with chains. Gar looked down and saw a scythe that was shrunk in his wound. A golden brilliance appeared and blew him to his left side.
Crash*
Gar spurted out blood with a smile. He pulled out the tree that was absorbing his blood and energy.
" As expected my body is falling apart. We shall meet again. Kuhaha!"
He laughed while tearing the talisman with madness. His red eyes were focused on the duo even though he was teleporting to another location.
Qattara tried to attack him, but Cross blocked her with his spear. She raised her eyebrows and put down her weapons.
" We can't defeat him. He is way more powerful than us."
Cross spoke with indifference on his cold face. He wasn't a nanny and he was preparing to depart since there was no reason to stay in this place anymore even though he felt other fallens. He felt two of them were similar to Gar and others weren't that strong. Hence, he decided to leave it in the hands of the knight or mercenaries whatever was battling against them.
" What about him?"
Qattara pointed at the fainted man with a nervous look. She wasn't a person who would leave the dying people on the ground.
Cross reluctantly took out a rare potion from his pouch and threw it to her. He waved his hands.
" See you soon, scythe girl."
He said while disappearing into the shadow.
