Welp uhh so I think I may have done an oops. I've been so busy trying to hone my craft and gather my plans that before I knew it two years had passed. I had just gotten back from a mission a couple days ago and it was just right in time for my four years anniversary. Well, that was about a week ago. And while the celebration was pretty minor since it was just me, Master Kaecilius, Master Sara Wolfe, Master Wong and a few other minor background charact-COUGH! I mean classmates. Since I am still a child even though I have a bit of a seniority now, I still can't join the adults and their beverages. It's bullshit you know. I didn't die at 17 just to have to wait another 21 more years to finally taste my first drop of 'legal' alcohol. Hehe oh well whatever it's not like it would have tasted good anyways. If the cooking wine is anything to go by then I don't think I was missing out on much. Plus I was never really a drinker when I was Samuel. I had always preferred smoking. Hmph I wonder if the we-nevermind.
Anyways, right now I'm in my room and I just can't help but look at my things. I really wish I could've taken pictures of my room throughout the years to capture the progress I had made. If it had not been the usage and mastery of the mirror dimension spell, I don't think I could fit everything I had created in my little tiny dorm room. I mean I would've had to make due and recycle even more than I did but now I have a small collection of relics that 'could' probably compete with some of the real relics we have in storage throughout Kamar-Taj and the sanctuaries around the world. Anyways let me give y'all an update on my cheats that I had made.
To start things off. Yes I finally did create wifi for everyone here in Kamar-Taj. It was pretty fun watching the ancient struggle with technology for the first time since I'm pretty sure even she had never held a touchscreen device before, much less a computer. The central computer that houses the wifi network here is built within the library behind the mirror dimension. That way I could provide everyone with the fastest speed the 2010s can provide and not get in the way of anyone. That's if they aren't traveling through the mirror dimension to sneak into the library. And as for security, well I think it should state of the art for until the end of the decade at least since we're pretty much invisible to the rest of the internet. If anyone were to try and track one of the sorcerers down using their I.P address they would just be chasing after ghosts on the web. Built in VPN baby!! Hehe but nah it's just some simple smoke and mirror tricks to blend Kamar-Taj with the wifi traffic of Nepal while also not slowing down our speed. And of course the password had to be Shambhala. There was no better choice of a password for a school full of mystical monks.
Now my lantern! Yeah I sorta scrapped the idea when I brought it with me on a mission a couple months back. I was on a mission to eradicate some demons in a desert-esque dimension and uhh well. I had to destroy a whole colony of the infestation and an idea came to mind. You know that really old cartoon called Love Death And Robots? Well in one of the episodes, a group of Russian dudes were hunting down demons and they blew up a hillside with TNT only to discover a mountain full of more demons. Welp to avoid having my team fall into a situation like that, I caused my lantern to reversed it's function and turned it into a bomb. All the pent up energy of the fusion reactor is released all at once through a fission chain reaction creating a miniature supernova. I think it was probably an overkill but FUCK EM. Fuck those scum bag demons. For as long as I live, if I ever encounter a demon of any kind I will not hesitate to use extreme prejudice until I can eradicate all of its kind. Now as for the rings that I used with my lantern? Well I just recycled them into parts for new projects that later came to be after that mission. So uhh how do I avoid going into a comatose state now? Well I had to rebuild a new set of jewelry for my wizardry drip. I made a relic that I call the 'Amulet of Misdirection' and it's an arc reactor the size of a gemstone powered by my new core element Badassium V.
After destroying my lantern of infinite energy I needed a new reactor that can be smaller and more portable as well as more powerful. After experimenting with new combinations of the badassium cores, I think I have finally created a version of Badassium that's as close to Tony Stark's element as I possibly could. One night I snuck into a village in the border tribe of Wakanda and stole a couple guys' spears. This was all while I was in the mirror dimension of course. There's no way I'm getting the world's most powerful nation on my ass just so I can get my hands on some crumbs of vibranium. And before anyone says anything about the alarms going off. No, I was only just scraping off a couple dozens of grams from the spears before giving it back. I didn't quite understand how vibranium works at the time so the best I could do at the time was use my good ol trusty to scrape off a little bit. Now to my surprise at the time. The metal became undone relatively quiet under the nib of my 'Ink of Innovation' which made the process a whole lot easier. Once I had gathered enough material that would just seem like chips and nature wear and tear, I came back home to continued my experiment for my new reactor.
So let me just skip all the boring stuff and flex my new drip. Behold; my ring of power. No like it's literally a ring that can produce power and can glow a light blue color from time to time. Basically it's just a platinum color ring band that has a strip of vibranium wrapped around it. As for the new gemstone core? Well it's an isotope of Badassium that was made from using Vibranium as its base element….I think that should be redundantly obvious right? Okay anyways. So with this ring apparently my 'Ink of Innovation' really really likes it because it seems to react pretty well to it. For some reason vibranium seems to react and behave really well under the commands of magic. Hell even the energy that comes off of the fusion reaction feels…magical? I don't know but it certainly feels very strange compared to the one I have connected to my computer. Like I can heal and recover relatively quickly when compared to an average student here at Kamar-Taj but with this new ring. Uh well I feel like I have almost superhuman levels of recovery. Instead of taking a week or two to heal a cut it would only take me a few days at most. Any mild fatigue that I could normally get rid of over night, I can do so in a twenty minute nap. But I don't know. I think it might just be a placebo thing that my mind is making up for me to justify how expensive and dangerous it was to create this ring…that's also called an amulet because it's a misdirection. SIGH. I don't know if it's the ten year old in me that came up with the name or the seventeen year old in me that did that. Or maybe it's both.
Anyways, more explanation of my relic! Basically the platinum band is the base of the ring that holds the vibranium line. The glowing line of vibranium acts as a secondary loop to keep the freed neutron from the fusion core contained and in constant state of flow. By keeping the energy in a constant rate of motion with no change in interaction I can store the excess energy for a long time before needing to deplete it. Otherwise I'll just be creating another bomb, which might be useful again one day.
Now my next topic of exposition is my computer. Obviously if we have wifi then we have to have at least one computer. I didn't just upgrade my computer over the last two years. I've been writing and upgrading a program to help me keep track of my skill progression. It's my own little Cortana or Siri. I'm not really good at writing programs that can try and learn on its own but by using some shortcuts and magic I've made due with what I can. In the future I hope to create a program that can compete with Tony Stark's J.A.R.V.I.S but for now I just need a little lab assistant. I have built a couple of sensory devices to measure the output of my spells and the program helps me analyze the science behind it all. And I think I'm slowly making some progress with my journey of walking down the path of a scientific mage. I mean what really is magic and science if not the study of nature and the laws that binds all of us. Anyways from what I have learned over the past year with my lab assistant, I can say with strong confidence that I still have a long way to go. I think I'm just barely scratching the surface of the world of magic and the natural laws of this multiverse.
SIGH. Now I think that was all the major updates I had made over the last two years. I could go into all the new stories and adventures I've created from going on these interdimensional missions but I don't have a lot of time. Right now I have to attend a meeting with the top brass of Kamar-Taj because apparently I've already fulfilled all the requirements for a student to graduate into the role of a master…SIGH fuck me.
