Eterna sat on the ground. The weather of the night was blistering cold, but she bore it. In a cower position, she then covered her face. Through her fingers, there was some scary expression from her. Her eyes opened widely as the pupil gradually contracted. Her breath was abnormally fast.
'I-i killed everyone,' Eterna blamed herself. She brought her hands and saw them shaky. Her visions became blurred and red. It was blood from the vase before, running down the eyes. She was losing too much blood.
'I killed someone again,' Eterna's voice was getting weaker. Her body fell to the ground and was waiting to die then rotten there. She wasn't planning to stay after all. So, she didn't need to worry about Thia's parents harming her. She smiled, her pain finally going over soon. Until some footstep came closer to the room.
*Creak*
"Eterna, Here is your torch and some be- Wait, what happened?" It was the cult leader. He ran toward Erina's body as he threw everything in his hands. He tried to lift Erina's body up. But before his hand came to touch her, she stopped him. Erina smiled as she shook her head.
"I-it was too late. I will accept my fate. Thank you for being good this f-" Before finishing her line, she hardly breathed as it started to disappear. The cult leader felt he was responsible for the mentioned person in the holy book, Eterna. He then starts some rituals. It was baptizing her. Since there wasn't holy water, he tried to find some alternative.
"What should I use, what should I use? She needs to be our cult member to get the blessing." He observed the room and tried to find something until he looked at his hand.
"The blood, Eterna's. It is water too." He was excited as he tried to check if there was enough blood under her. He also checked whether Eterna was still with him or not.
"She is still here, but the breath is too weak. I need to fast." He tried to faster his movement. The blood itself wasn't enough, but he tried his own way. He smeared all the blood on her face, hand, and feet. It wasn't covering the whole body, but that should be enough. He then started to chant some prayers.
" Saeth Yoko sit amono ots. sitiokdus outfa tuo anthpeudo. seisvo tin fotchi. Amen," He stopped at the first chant and drew a square symbol with a star in the middle on Eterna's head.
"O saeth Yoko. tofta symfiola ien pista uos ne itfan. Amen," He finished the chant, but nothing happened. He checked Eterna's breath, but she died. The cult leader's face was disappointed. He failed to follow the prophecy in the holy book. He begged once again to the Goddess.
'Please, make it work. My Goddess. She was the person you said would help us in hard times. I would love to see that happen. Also, both of us knew that Thia wasn't the first person. I don't want your follower to lose their fate. I couldn't lie anymore longer. So please.' He prayed on his mind with both hands in front of his chest. Not so long after that, The blood shone red. He then heard someone whisper.
"To you, My Son. You did well. Now, when her body floats, try to chant the song of battle along with the song of the cursed."
The cult leader was crying as he assumed that was Goddess Yoko. He then did the command. The body was floating as he tried to stand up. He then started the chant.
"... Zitoana fygiota anese opto peiramas aremona setan," It had been 10 minutes since he started, but he had finished both already. Suddenly, The song of the battle and the song of the cursed materialized into a text. The text flew as it tried to mix with the blood. It was successfully bound by the blood. The body then absorbed the mixed blood and songs. Eterna's body was glowing, and it fell to the floor.
The cult leader then tried to check whether she successfully became one of the cults. He looked at Eterna's neck, but there was nothing like a mark. He was kinda confused about the situation. The Goddess itself helped him, but how can it fail?
'Am I doing it wrong? Why did the mark not appear? I don't think my chant was wron-'
*Cough-cough*
Suddenly, Eterna returned to life. The leader was shocked about the mark.
'Is she unmarked? I never heard any of that. Is her blood the one that has a mark? Whatever, I will help her first. He lifted Eterna's body and moved it from there. It was the main room. Eterna opened her eyes, and she felt energetic as ever. She then tried to sit down.
"What did you do to me? I felt happier and also healthier. An- and the wound on my head gone." She asked as she touched her head. She was shocked about what was happening.
"I will tell it later. Now wash your body. That blood made you nastier." The cult leader pointed to the bathroom.
"Ah...also take this. I didn't have a woman's clothes, so bear with it for a moment." He gave her a cult dress. She just agreed with it and went to take a bath.
