"Nothing! I just remembered I have something else to do!"she replied as she retreated in a happy mood.
Situ stood on place alone complaining as he observed the figure of Xiaohe slowly walking away.
"What is she happy about?"
"It's time to go and see father and mother. They claimed to have something important to tell me!" Situ walked the opposite of Xiaohe's direction.
****
"Dad! Mom!" In a small garden, FengXian and My Qingzhi were calmly relaxing when Situ appeared.
"Mm!" To his greeting, they just responded lightly. Clearly showing signs of dissatisfaction with his interruption.
Situ's father was seated on a bamboo chair, while Mu Qingzhi was seated on the ground with her head laying on his lap.
When he saw them like this, a strange look flashed in his eyes.
'Are this couple trying to flaunt off their relationship or something? Their child is just before them, and they don't even have any ounce of proprietary.'
Even though he was complaining inwardly, he still shamelessly sat close to his mother, who was being fed some fruit.
"So! Son, what wind blew you here so early in the morning?" FengXian was indeed resentful, or at least that was what Situ thought as he looked at the old man's eyes.
From the moment Situ arrived at this garden, Mu Qingzhi had shifted most of the attention she was giving him to Situ.
'What a stingy old man! All I did was just sit down, do you have to become passive aggressive with me already?' he was complaining but very relaxed and unwilling to move.
"Didn't you guys mention that I should look for you today? You claimed to have something important to tell me!" Situ was cleaver worked around this issue.
"I thought you would show up after breakfast, but turns out I was wrong!" Mu Qingzhi spoke with a soft smile appearing at the corner of her mouth.
"Hehe! I thought he would show up at dinner." Indeed he was jealous.
"Son! We wanted to talk to you. What do you think of this world you live in?" FengXian's words made him confused.
Situ indeed was confused by the words that FengXian had just asked.
"I don't understand!" He responded without even thinking much about it.
He had been reborn in this world, but he didn't know anything about this world in the slighest.
"Yeah! You indeed are not aware of a lot of things." Mu Qingzhi was the one that spoke.
"Actually the world is far more dangerous than you can imagine. When you are slightly older, you will he to venture outside and discover more about yourself and the world. Perhaps only then will you understand what we are telling you." She didn't pause and continued.
'You didn't have to remind me of this. The gloomy nature of this world can be felt by me.' Situ thought silently.
"In the future you have to be observant, and act based on your heart, perhaps that way you will not have much regrets." FengXian added this words.
"More importantly, always remember that the only way to live safely in this world is to make sure you self improve at all moments." FengXian clearly wasn't playing..
"Okay I got it." He responded firmly.
Self improvement was this key to any human being able to adapt to the ever changing world.
Regardless of how dangerous the world gets, one can entire they are okay if they are changing along.
Situ has been living peacefully in this world and in his previous life those at his age are considered babies. But his parents still had time to warn him, this made him uneasy and instantly alert.
From everything that happened to him at the end of his previous life, he knew he had lived an ignorant life. Many existences beyond his understanding were out there and they could determine his fate at will.
Having more knowledge was not a bad thing,. especially in this world. He was willing to listen to them because they were teaching him more.
With the efforts his parents put in to make him read and memorize universal principles that seemed vague and profound, he could tell the world was probably more than meets the eye.
The word dangerous however never crossed his mind, until his parents brought it up.
"Let's not mention this! In this future you will learn this by yourself. Perhaps you can determine how dangerous the world really is." FengXian didn't seem that interested in this topic.
"Your mother and I have taught you a lot of Scriptures and Universal Principles, make sure to take your time to ponder over this principles in the future deeply. The benefits are not small." FengXian seemed to remember something and mentioned this.
*****
Life went on, and everyday, other than being taught some knowledge on creatures as well as treasures. Situ also had to recite the Universal Principles and before he knew it, five years has flashed by.
Stellar Calendar, Year 6754.
Outside of Tianmen Town.
A luxurious carriage was stationed, with two massive black horses.
Situ he woke up as usual, expecting to pass through the similar routine, but looking at the carriage he was sleeping in he sobered up real fast.
The first thing that came into his view was the letter on the floor of the carriage. He picked it up, but before anything moved the curtain of the carriage and what came into view was an old abandoned temple.
Walking out, his line of sight was greeted by nothing but desolation.
The place had a depressing atmosphere, and he felt unsafe.
"Mom! Dad!"
He shouted but he got no reply. Situ rushed out of the carriage and looked around anxiously.
When he walked some distance from the carriage z finally he saw something that resembled a road sign blocking his path.
'Entering Tianmen Town!'
The moment he saw this words, he was excited, but his movements paused when he felt as though he had hit some barrier.
"This is strange. I can't enter the town at all!" He came to a conclusion real fast. He couldn't cross it.
Looking at the carriage tracks, he finally turned his attention on the letter he had been holding all this time.
"Let's see what is in this letter?" He thought as he opened it directly.
He wasn't relieved in the slightest, rather his expression was of worry. He couldn't go back, but he letter clearly stated that from now on he had to not just be wary of beasts but also the human heart.
Being someone had lived his second Life how could Situ Feng not able to understand this words. The meaning was very simple, he had to be wary of everyone since people change under different environments and circumstances.
Sitting alone on the ground with a helpless expression, he heard movement from behind him.
Turning his head, it was Xiaohe. She was dressed in bright red Chinese Hanfu.
He didn't focus his eyes on her, rather his gaze only lingered for moment before turning his head away.
"Little Feng! What are we doing in this place?" The first sentence that came from her mouth.
Xiaohe was someone he grew up with and his parents never really told him about her origin, but he always suspected it wasn't simple. Even the scriptures and Universal Principles were taught to her by Mu Qingzhi.
The treatment she heard was much better than even that of someone like him.
Situ also discovered from the very beginning that the way she carried herself was different, especially for a child. In the Feng Manor, she was the only one that dared to call him little Feng and when she was being sarcastic Young master.
What he also figured out was that the kids the same age rarely had to play. They were being forced to memorize the Universal Principles and Scriptures.
He turned to face her and then replied, "Not sure! Do you know anything?"
She shook her head.
"Well it seems that we are on our own, but mom and dad left us a hint. The statues in the temple?" He turned to look towards the decapitated temple.
He was not calm at this moment, as he felt his life was not on a path he couldn't predict in the slighest.
Situ recited the Scriptures and Universal Principles trying to calm himself.
"Nature is everywhere... Inaction is eventually action! Movement ..." He recited some Universal Principles and calmed down.
Looking around, nothing stood out as compared to the temple and he decided to head up, before turning towards the carriage.
Xiaohe was busy starting to clean the entrance of the temple, and he had to stop her, "Xiaohe! Stop that for now. It is not like we have nothing important to do. Let's see the situation in the temple."
"But young master, this place is very dirty, I can't just ignore it." Xiaohe didn't want to stop.
"Okay! Suit yourself, I'm go into the temple and check things out."
As he approached the temple, back in some distance two figures were hidden and observing and if Situ could see them he could be shocked as they were his parents and his mom, who had some relief but sadness at the same time.
"Madam! Our son is able to adapt so fast, I'm impressed. It seams that all our years of training are not in vain." FengXian commented.
Clearly this couple had been watching Xiaohe and Situ all this while from since they woke up.
"It's time to go. We should give our child the time required to grow." Speaking of this, even the voice Mu Qingzhi had become more resolute.
"Calm down! Let's wait until he manages to her his hands on the things hidden in the statues." FengXian was sure his wife was reluctant to leave, but also afraid she might act impulsively.
A black sedan chair seemed to manifest before the couple, just as they were discussing the issue if leaving.
*By Decree of Human Sovereigns*
The moment this words appeared on the surface of the Sedan chair, they already knew it was impossible to delay any longer.
They hesitantly entered the sedan chair and the words on the decree turned into golden light covering the entire sedan chair.
"Boom!" The moment, the sedan chair turned into a golden dot that vanished off into space.
