Chapitre 90: Main Family Branch
Suddenly the asteroid the We're traveling on had been turned to dust. The cloaked woman jumped backwards grabbing Lui Marime activating her own barrier of energy to protect them from the dangerous solar winds and radiation in space.
"What could the overseer of this universe mean by attacking measly travelers? Surely you aren't attempting to break divine law?" The man said calmly as he remained in his seated position with his eyes closed.
"It is just a cordial greeting, what could bring Death Gods of your calibre to my cultivation world?" The Oversoul said while only his silhouette could be seen in-front of the massive star they were traveling by.
"We are on a retrieval mission of one of our own, we will be leaving soon enough." The man spoke.
The cloaked man reached out his hand and a massive circular ship the size of a small moon appeared. "Would you like to speak inside?" He spoke.
"No need, I must ask that you not interfere with the events elevating this universe at this time." The oversoul spoke in a firm tone.
"Oh, really and what if I were to ignore this request of yours?"
The oversouls energy flared pushing the man to a point where he stood firm while opening his eyes and putting up his own barrier to defend from the oversouls overwhelming pressure.
"You wouldn't break divine law and attack those that haven't existed since before would you?" The man asked in a defensive tone.
"Why would I need to attack an ant?" The oversoul said while waving his hand. In that same moment the 2 Shinigami had been forcibly teleported to void space between universes.
The oversoul replaced the woman's barrier around Lui Marime with another wave of his hand before asking, "So you are one of them… but you don't seem like one of them."
"I am…" Lui Marime said her voice barely audible she spoke so low.
"But you are of this universe, the Shinigami haven't been here in search of a disciple in eons…" the oversoul spoke.
"I reincarnated into this cultivation world.." Lui Marime said.
Hearing this the oversoul was unable to respond for a moment while his mind raced exploring the different possibilities. "But… Shinigami trade the ability to reincarnate for eternal youth…"
"Wo Shie found a way…" Lui Marime said finally looking at the oversoul's silhouette.
Hearing this was like a puzzle piece being dropped into an elaborate plot of confusion for the Oversoul. "So he found a way… do you remember your life as a shinigami?"
"I do." Lui Marime answered while nodding her head.
"Do tell me, were you or Wo Shie a part of the shinigami organization first?" The oversoul asked.
"I was a part of the shinigami organization at it's conception, I wasn't born during the time known as before, I was actualized by the organizations creator.."
"Wo Shie was recruited from a mortal world with only mortal advancements and mortal technology." Lui Marime spoke causing the oversoul to become more shocked with every word.
There was a long moment of silence that lasted almost 15 minutes before the oversoul spoke, "so that's why they want you back… how were they able to locate you?"
"I believe a seal was placed on my soul at the moment of my conception…" Lui Marime spoke while she looked back down into the eternal nothingness.
The oversoul waved his hand and spoke, "I placed a seal on your souls so you cannot be tracked, but you mustn't use any abilities you learned as a shinigami until you are ready to face the organization again… is there anything else you know of Wo Shie's recruitment into the organization?"
"Nothing, I just remembered despite all of our power and ability as shinigami all of Wo Shie's feats seemed magical and impossible I fell in love with him…" Lui Marime spoke.
"I see, thank you for answering my questions, is there a place where you would wish to go?" The oversoul asked.
"Please send me back to my home…" Lui Marime asked.
"Very well." The oversoul spoke and with another wave of his hand Lui Marime disappeared.
Instantly Lui Marime reappeared in the sky above the estate she stayed in with her family.
Below here she saw her worst fears actualized, the entire estate and surround forest had burned into ashes.
There many people in the robes of the Moon clan scurrying about with different objects in hand taking energy readings of the area.
Almost as quickly as she had arrived a man wearing a luxurious purple robe with a crescent moon on its back appeared in front of Lui Marime.
"Are you alright young master? What happened here?" The man asked.
"The shinigami came…" was all Lui Marime said, but it was more than enough for the man standing in front of her to get the picture.
"H-how are you alive?" The man asked in obvious confusion.
"Have you found my father?" Lui Marime asked ignoring the man's question.
"N-no young master… your fathers light went out within the main family branch heads office so we were dispatched to investigate." The man spoke causing a wave of dread to rush through Lui Marime.
"We have been instructed to bring any survivors to the main family, so if you would come with us." The man spoke while reaching out a hand to console the loss he knew Lui Marime was feeling.
