Claude found Fire and Plum under the stairs growling at Eva. She was waving a wooden broomstick at them. Making sure that the pups couldn't get near her. But the two pups were relentless.

He could see the bite marks on the tip of the broom. They were not normal bite marks either. The broom handle was bitten off, and when he looked at the floor, he couldn't help but grin.

Their pups were vicious and deadly.

He clicked his tongue to get their attention and looked at Eva. Her eyes looked wild and her hair was in disarray. Eva did not look the way she was when they took him and his sister.

"You!" She said in a venomous voice. "You did this to us! You brats! Look at what you have done!" She pointed at him and glared daggers in his direction.
