It was Duncan's irritated sigh that woke me up from my nap. I blink several times to clear the cobwebs out of my mind. The dream I had was not erotic, but it was pleasant.
Duncan looked at me and smiled. He gently pulled my hair from my face. Then he rubbed my cheek. "Had a good nap?" he asked.
I nodded and looked at the kids. They were still watching, but the noise had subsided. "They saw you sleeping, and asked Fujin to lower the volume," he said in a proud voice. "Hungry?"
I shook my head to answer, "Just water."
"Stay put," he commanded. Before I could say something he was already walking to the fridge to get some water. I shook my head when he returned with a cup of yogurt and a spoon.
"I am not invalid, Duncan," I wryly said. I took the yogurt from him and tried to open it. The seal was so damn tight that I said, "damn it, why!"
