Seeing Lucy's expression, Kate knew that what she asked might be something that was impossible to be done. She herself knew that even as a rank 6 space awakened, it was impossible for her to keep the barrier up when she was sleeping.

These abilities were not magic that could sustain itself without her watching at all. She still had to make sure that she was keeping watch and all.

It was certainly impossible for her to do that.

"Anyway, there are no giant mutated animals in the city… I think it should be fine for us to keep guard while the other is sleeping?" Kate asked again.

Lucy sighed. "I know you feel that it's not comfortable to keep guard. Let's hope that we're fine with the others nearby."

"Yeah."

Looking at the side, Kate noticed that Kyle's house was located not far from theirs. The corner of her lips tugged to form a faint smile. Perhaps, without her knowing it, she had already associated Kyle's presence with the word safe.
