(Kate's POV)

"Oh goodness, she's in heat?" Michelle shrieks, hiding behind Michael and peeking down at Cassandra in awe.

She's not even coming to check if her so-called best friend is fine. Cassandra's snarky attitude is starting to make sense now.

"Oh really? What gave it away? Is it the fact that she's burning up or maybe it's the scent she's giving off? Or wait, just maybe it's the hundreds of unmated werewolves running up here to see what smells so orgasmic!" Roman growls sarcastically and we all pause to look at him with raised brows.

His cheek's turn pink and he runs a hand through his hair. "What? It's true. You can all smell it."

He takes a handkerchief from his pocket, tying it around his nose and Rob does the same.

Looking past his inappropriate comment, he's right.

The scent wafting from her is very strong, stronger than an average werewolf when in heat.
