Those were the worst hours of Scott’s life. Without a question. He lost count of the minutes he stayed in that hallway, waiting for news alongside Isabella, Liam, and Noah.
He had never felt so helpless and incompetent. Not being able to do anything was agonizing. By every second, Scott honestly started to think that things had gone wrong. That Florence and the baby wouldn’t survive.
And when he was almost giving up, a light seemed to appear at the end of the tunnel. A nurse came toward them, looking extremely exhausted, and Scott didn’t even wait to get up and shoot her a question before she even had the chance to say something.
“How was it? Are they ok?”
The nurse looked at the others who had just joined them and turned her eyes back to Scott.
