Same as last time, Aoki started to analyze and point out the problems.
"Seems like you two threw everything I taught you out of the window after the big battle!" Aoki said with frustration.
"First Weepinbell, your ideal playstyle is taking it slow and closing all paths of the opponents but in this match, you went out of your way to do frontal assault where your opponent was good at.
Even though you knew your opponent's weakness, you only decided to attack it later in the match properly.
Except for these errors, your response time, poison application, and grass energy control were perfect.
We will start from the basics again tomorrow which will bring you back to the line"
Weepinbell too had realized the mistakes he did in the heat of the battle. As always, he took remembered Aoki's words and started healing himself.
"Now for Gyarados, I am repeating the same thing I said to Charmeleon.
Start acting like a Pokemon who is trained, not a wild Pokemon.
While you were using thrash, only one of your attacks touched Weepinbell while the rest only destroyed the area doing nothing.
Your strength and weakness both lie in your head but you stopped prioritizing it in the latter half of the battle.
Use your size to your advantage, make the opponent approaches you using long-range attacks then use physical attacks to suppress them. Don't go out of your way to approach the enemy.
Same for you, we will start from the basics again."
Gyarados nodded and started getting his injuries healed but inside he was very happy. In team rocket, he was only told to do better and punished if he didn't meet expectations whereas Aoki told him all of his shortcomings and was willing to teach him properly if he didn't understand.
For the third round, Pidgeotto and Shelgon came forwards. Shelgon was pretty excited as she had surprises for everyone in this fight.
"Begin! "
As Aoki announced the start of the match, Shelgon started using Dragon Dance while Pidgeotto used agility and zoomed near Shelgon with her claws.
Shelgon immediately rotated his body and took the claws to his shell which was now as hard as Gyarados' scales.
It was rapid spin.
Cling!
A sharp sound resonated as Pidgeotto's claws collided with Shelgon's shell. Pidgeotto was very surprised by the hardness of the shell of Shelgon as she didn't have any mock battles with Shelgon yet.
Fangs of fire manifested around Shelgon to bite her but Pidgeotto used a whirlwind to get away from Shelgon.
'This would be tricky !' Pidgeotto started using double team and a combination of air cutters while Bagon released a strong Dragon Pulse that erased most of the afterimages in one got.
'Pidgeotto met a bad match type. Her speed is her strength but against Shelgon who has very high defense after evolution, things have become tricky' thought Aoki.
Pidgeotto moved her wings faster and used hurricane-trapping Shelgon in a large vortex.
Aoki had to hold onto Weepinbell as he too was getting dragged into the hurricane.
Bagon after evolving to Shelgon had a very high defense, but now his speed was the lowest in the team, so he could not get away from the hurricane. He could feel the sharp wind blades slowly damaging his shell and reaching inside.
His body temperature increased as Shelgon started using a combination of Fire Blast and Flamethrower at Pidgeotto which increased the damage as the hurricane mixed with fire and created a tornado of flames.
Still, Shelgon achieved his purpose which was not letting Pidgeotto use steel coats and steel-type moves for a short moment of time as he was began storing energy for something.
The time PIdgeotto realized what Shelgon wanted, she put down the hurricane with reverse hurricane and began using Hypervoice making everyone cover their ears.
Pidgeotto coated her body in steal-type energy and began fighting Shelgon in close combat.
Under the power and sharpness of steel wings and craws, Shelgon came to a disadvantage but still fought and got some heavy hits on Pigeotto with Dragon Rage, Dragon breath, and Flamethrower.
Aoki and everyone were confused about why Shelgon was not using many dragon-type moves when it was his specialty.
Boom!
With a Zen headbutt, Pidgeotto was slammed to the ground, and that is when Shelgon looked at the sky and shot a bright orb with enormous dragon-type energy fluctuation.
Aoki's pupils contracted to see the orb. ' Don't tell me…'
Booom!!
The orb expanded many times in a matter of seconds and burst out sending energy like shooting stars to the field.
The sky had turned white from the light from the meteor shower.
Misty who was training a bit far from there looked at the sky and was shocked to see a meteor shower.'The hell is happening there! '.
She assumed that that must be the new experiment Aoki was doing.
'Well if Clefairy and Weepinbell are there, he must be safe'
Back to the scene….
'That Draco Meteor !!! when did Shelgon learn it? Don't tell me it was the giant Dragonite that taught him…''
Boom !!
The entire battlefield was covered in an energy shower.
Pidgeotto used Giga impact and Hyperbeam to counter the effect of the move but the power behind Draco Meteor was so significant that even after dodging and increasing her speed, she got under the influence.
Boom!!
The energies started hitting the ground creating craters and explosions destroying a large area.
This continued for a few seconds but the destruction of the move surpassed all of the moves Aoki's companions knew.
Only Darkrai was not shocked by the power of Draco Meteor. Although most of his memories have faded he remembered some moves vividly and the Draco meteor was one of them.
As the dust and smoke cleared, Shelgon appeared on the field with a cheerful aura while Pidgeotto was in a corner fainted.
Seeing the shocked face of everyone Shelgon thought ' Maybe I overdid a bit'
Creation is hard, cheer me up!
