Chapitre 16: Chapter 16
After Zen and Asuna's first meeting and forming a party, their party started conquering several dungeons and completing some quests with rewards that Zen thought was good.
They had been together for three weeks, and it had been a month since this death game had started. Their relationship is getting closer, because they are always together. Even though Asuna had yet to show her face which was still covered by her brown robe.
Asuna started to get used to living her life in this game world, all thanks to Zen who always taught her and helped her enjoy this game. By now Asuna had begun to understand about this game and could say her fighting skills were very good.
Currently Zen and Asuna were conquering a mid-level dungeon on this floor.
"Switch Asuna" said Zen who managed to block the attack of a ruin kobold monster.
Asuna who heard this then stepped forward and stabbed the Kobold in the chest until it started to retreat and lost its balance.
Seeing this Zen didn't waste the opportunity and immediately ran forward and slashed at the Kobold until the monster disappeared indicating that they had defeated it.
"Are you okay Asuna?" said Zen when he saw a notification window had conquered the dungeon.
"Yeah, I'm fine Zen" he replied.
"Alright, let's get out of this place" said Zen
Then the two of them started walking side by side while looking for a way out of the dungeon.
"Where are we going next Zen?" Asuna asked after they managed to get out of the dungeon.
Then Zen started to open his folder and try to figure out which place they should go. After a while he looked at the map, suddenly a bell sounded.
"Maybe we'll go back to the starting town." Zen said.
"Initial city, why? Shouldn't we go to the dungeon again, we still have plenty of supplies anyway" said Asuna.
"Did you hear the bell just now Asuna?" Zen said.
"Yeah, I heard that," Asuna replied.
"That's a sign that a meeting is about to start" Zen replied.
"Meeting? for what?" asked Asuna again.
"Perhaps, about forming a group to fight the boss of this floor" Zen replied
"Didn't we go looking for him but couldn't find his location anywhere?" Asuna said.
"That's why we're going to the city to join the meeting and get some information. Besides, if the meeting doesn't really discuss the floor boss, we can stop by the city to upgrade our weapons" said Zen
"Alright, then" Asuna said.
Finally they started to move from that place. But when he was about to leave, he heard someone's stomach sound indicating he was starving.
The voice came from Asuna. Asuna immediately lowered her head to hide her embarrassment. Asuna's behavior made Zen smile and told them to rest for a while under a tree.
"Okay, let's eat first" Zen said as he took out a loaf of bread from his storage room. Asuna didn't want to be left behind either, since she was already feeling hungry, she rushed to take out her bread as well.
After Asuna took a bite of her bread, Zen then remembered something. Then Zen took out a bottle and placed it between the two of them.
"Try smearing it on your bread" Zen said as he practiced it on Asuna.
Then Asuna tried to imitate Zen's actions and started smearing something on her bread that had bite marks on it.
"This is Cream?" Asuna said then tried to eat a mouthful of it
"Mmmmmmmm" he mumbled after eating the bread covered in cream.
Seeing Asuna's reaction, Zen felt very happy and started to smile at his actions. Meanwhile Asuna who ate a mouthful of bread started to finish her bread in an instant.
Asuna who finished her meal finally realized that someone was watching her with a beautiful smile on her face. Asuna, who saw this, lowered her head again to hide her embarrassment, even though her entire face was not visible due to her robe.
"Is it delicious?, I found it in the city before, if you want I can take you there" said Zen
"Mm-Mm" Asuna muttered while shaking her head.
"Thanks Zen, maybe later I'll look for it myself" said Asuna
"Otherwise, how about you learn the cooking skill?" ask Zen
"Cooking? What's Zen for?" ask Asuna
"To make me good food, won't we always be together?" tease Zen
Hearing this, Asuna lowered her head in embarrassment and didn't reply to Zen's words. Meanwhile, Zen started laughing at Asuna's reaction.
"Are you going to keep teasing me Zen?" Asuna said in an angry tone after hearing Zen's laughter
"Alright - alright, I'm just kidding, how about we start our journey?" Zen said and Asuna nodded in return.
Then the two of them began to walk away from the place and headed for the starting city to join the meeting.
"Memasak yea.., alright" Asuna said in her heart with her face reddened.
Finally the two of them arrived at the original city, the place where a painful reality began. Zen and Asuna arrived at night and the two of them immediately looked for a place to spend the night to spend the night in this city full of bad memories.
After the two of them had booked an inn, the two of them then began to rest in their respective rooms.
The next day, the city was already filled with several players who wanted to join the meeting.
"Seems true, they've found the boss's location" muttered Zen who was currently with Asuna going to the blacksmith's place to upgrade their weapons.
After they finished upgrading their weapons, it turned out that their meeting time was still quite long and Zen took the initiative to take Asuna around the city.
"Asuna, how about we go on a date?" asked Zen while trying to tease Asuna
"D-D-Dating?" said Asuna nervously.
Hearing Asuna's reaction, Zen couldn't help but laugh
"Who would have thought, it turns out you'd be nervous hearing me ask you out" Zen continued.
"W-Who w-nervous idiot, I was just h-shocked" Asuna replied
"Alright, alright. How about I change my sentence. Asuna, how do we go around this town, since we've only been battling monsters and I think it's a good time for us to relax, huh?" Zen asked Asuna.
Asuna, who was already embarrassed, tried to refuse. But suddenly his stomach made a sound.
"That voice I assume you approve of" Zen said as he grabbed Asuna's hand and started their strolling session.
"W-wait Zen" said Asuna who saw her hand being pulled by Zen and tried to let go.
But after Asuna smelled the food where Zen took her, the thoughts of her hand that was being held by Zen started to drift away. The two of them started to stop by some food stalls and started walking around there.
Asuna finally let Zen hold her hand and enjoy the moment, until the meeting they were about to participate in began.
