"What?" King Tom's roar reverberated through the throne room.

The new Hand of the King shuddered as he lowered his head.

"What did you just say?" King Tom inquired again with a fiery gaze.

"Your Majesty, the headquarters of the Pugilist Academy has fallen".

"W-what?" This time, King Tom stuttered.

His confidence and arrogance that had been an essential part of his reign as King could no longer be detected from him, only shock and fear dominated now.

He stared at his new Hand with shock still evident on his face.

King Tom hated the Grade C superhumans because they were individuals that were too powerful for their own good, and he felt that their power inflated their ego, making them think they were bigger than the King.

He vehemently opposed them because he wanted to restrict their power.

He remained stubborn against their pleas because he wanted to continually affirm before them that he was the King, that he was the one in charge.
