Chapitre 102: The last bastion of hope

The path through the woods was steep and riddled with sticks, stones and roots. The horses struggled to pull the carriage, so they had to walk the whole way. Henry, Ray and Ken had to push it from the pits a few times. They walked, following the men with wolf-skin capes flowing.

Valora hugged her staff and looked at the man in the front. His left eye was bandaged with yellow cloth and his black hair and beard were raggedy. His skin was leathery brown, just like his armour. Some links of his chainmail were rusting and the padded tunic underneath was jet black; just like his eyes.

"Who are you people?" she inquired.

He looked at her and his face wrinkled. "I have nothing to say to you pearl people," he spat.
