Chapitre 34: Chapter 34: A Plan Decided

“How did they know we were here?” Caden asked, looking as surprised as Edith felt.

“Something must have happened,” she responded hastily.“They’ve only been here once before.”

At the sound of her friends calling her name again, Edith grabbed her clothes and began to hastily dress. Caden finished dressing first and beat Edith to the stairs.

Before charging down, the vampire took her face in his hand. Kissing her, he paused for a moment to gaze into her eyes.

“I love you, Edith,” Caden whispered. “I love you.”

Then, with an air of authority and calmness, Caden swiftly descended, calling out, “It sounds like I have guests.”

Edith fixed her hair and clothing, and taking a quick breath, counted to ten before following Caden.
