Chapitre 19: Chapter 18
Mr. Popo took Anais and I to the palace that kami stays in, it looked exactly like how I remember it from the anime nothing special really, it's kind of large and there are 4 large pillars at the 4 corners of the house.
The place looked nice and while it was nothing special, I was still excited to be in one of the popular places from one of my favorite animes.
We waited at the entrance for Kami to come to us, I knew he was already aware of our presence as in the show he had been observing Goku as he arrived in Korin's tower, and I could sense his presence getting closer.
We noticed a shadow at the entrance getting clearer and eventually we had a proper view of him, even without being able to see him in his prime in person I could tell that time has not been the kindest to him, his dark green skin wrinkled especially on his head.
He had clear eyes most likely lacking any interest in the affairs of the world, I remember he didn't have the best view of people until Goku, and the z fighters fought with their lives on the line to kill piccolo.
I could feel Anais' emotions beside me filled with shock, confusion and a slight bit of fear it is most likely from seeing an alien for the first time she was able to understand Korin's existence because he is a cat however kami has no possible way of letting others identify him as a human.
Kami: "welcome to my abode, I am the one known as kami. I have watched over this planet for years and I must say this is the first time I have ever seen anyone as powerful as you.
Everyone I have seen over the years have had lots of skill and trained hard to get to their level of power but I can tell from your presence that you didn't have to train to get all the power you wield, you most likely grow in power everyday like a sort of abnormality, there is a possibility that you have some secret but it is not in my place nor is it my interest to find out what it is.
I only have one question, what are your intentions for earth? You are powerful the only thing you lack is experience and a bit more training to polish up on some of your techniques and a bit more practice and you will be even more powerful, what do you plan on doing with all the power you have and why is it that you continue to seek improvement?"
I frown at his question; I'm getting tired of this question. The matron mentioned something similar, so did Korin and now kami why don't you just ask me if I want to rule the world while you are at it. I am not gonna give the same answer I'm going to give him something to think about and keep him awake for a few nights.
Tatsumaki: "I have been made to think about that question and ill be honest it is getting annoying, but you want to know the truth? I'm sure since you are kami of our world you should be able to sense the Ki of people, while I don't want to seem rude but everyone on our planet is weak. I say our planet because I have sensed far more powerful people in space, so it doesn't take a genius to know there is life outside our planet and now that I see you, I am sure my conjecture is right"
Kami: "wh-what do you mean? How can I be an alien? I have been on this world for as long as I remember"
Tatsumaki: "I have no intention of knowing any secrets you have, only in getting stronger. We have been safe for many years but the fact that you are here means others can also arrive on earth and I have felt people thousands of times stronger than the strongest earthlings, well strongest earthlings excluding myself. I have accepted that I can't win with pure brute force, so I have come to improve my skill set before I go out to face them"
Kami: "You plan on leaving the planet to fight the aliens you have sensed? your actions will only bring our planet into their radar!"
Tatsumaki: "So you are aware of life outside the earth, what makes you think we aren't already on their radar?"
How simple minded, he was able to get to earth maybe by luck, but I doubt advanced civilizations that have maps of the galaxy would be stupid enough to exclude earth from their data or else how would Bardock consider sending Goku here even without seeing anything from his visions
Tatsumaki: "I plan on becoming a deterrent, a statement, a warning that the earth is under my protection, and it is not to be messed around with maybe in the far future when I feel that I am unrivaled but for now I will continue to increase my strength and skill set so to your question I search for power because I don't want to be weak"
I could tell from all their emotions that they are shocked, confused, scared and Anais also seems to be upset and disappointed for some reason
Kami: "*sigh* while your answer is not what I was expecting I can tell you have good intentions for the planet so I will assist you in hopes that you will protect the planet"
Tatsumaki: "I will naturally do that; however, I am not a babysitter. I will not interfere unless I know the earth has no way of dealing with the threats that it is faced with, I don't want to be the reason that the earth stays weak, only by facing challenges will they grow it's also the reason I am training. There is no one that can match me, so I plan on learning a skill to create a clone with the same amount of power as me to spar with and increase my experience fighting with a large amount of power"
Kami: "There is a technique that will allow you to do that, it does however split your energy evenly between the clones, it is call the multi-form technique, I will show it to you in when we start training. I have already been made aware of your friend's reason for fighting, all I will say is that its good to have a goal that prevents you from giving up and I hope you won't lose your will to grow stronger even if your goal is met with difficulty"
Anais: "I have no intentions of staying weak old man, even if I can't find it, I don't believe that Tatsumaki won't be able to find one, he said there is life outside earth so I know for sure that maybe they have a solution there must be an advanced civilization that has made something to help me with my goal."
Kami: "That is fine, I will have Mr. Popo show you to your rooms. We will begin your training starting tomorrow, I am sure you will be able to make lots of improvement giving how talented you are"
Mr. Popo: "Please follow me to your rooms"
Tatsumaki: "Thank you, how long have you been on the lookout?"
Mr. Popo: "I have been on the look out for many centuries and served all the Kamis before the current kami"
Tatsumaki: "So there have been multiple Kamis, is it a succession thing? Initially I thought maybe someone would be born as kami but remembering that the current kami is an alien, I realized that should not be the case, how old are you and are you even human?"
Mr. Popo: "Mr. Popo would prefer not to answer those questions, here we are you can pick one of the rooms to be yours, I will see you tomorrow"
I wasn't bothered by his lack of willingness to respond as I already know about him form the anime, but I must keep up appearances and also let Anais know more about the world.
Tatsumaki: "I will take the room to the right but before I go in, I want to talk to you, I sensed you were upset and disappointed when I explained about space earlier
Anais: "Umm, you never told me about life outside the planet and that they are powerful, I feel I should be one of the strongest people on earth, but you said they are thousands of times stronger than me, it makes me feel like my training was pointless and I'm also sad that you didn't tell me about it before now"
Tatsumaki: "This is why I didn't tell you; you've just heard about them, and you are already showing weakness, *sigh* don't bother thinking about people that are far beyond your level. Your goal isn't to deal with them, remember your goal is to become powerful and find a way to get more attractive then become mine. When your goal has been accomplished, I will also help you get stronger like I did in the past so don't have any unnecessary thoughts"
Anais: "okay"
Tatsumaki: "Our real training starts from here, once we are done, we will separate and go on our different journeys"
Anais: "What?! Why?! Did I do something to upset you? Is it because of my looks?"
Tatsumaki: "You are too dependent on being around me and I haven't been bothered by your looks for years so it wont happen all of a sudden, once training is over you will need to stay on your own for a bit to develop independence and search a way to change your looks, I will go on my own journey and help you search while I do my own thing, I will meet up with you when I have accomplished my goals, beware it might take some years though. I decided to tell you now, so it won't be sudden when Its time. Sleep on it, I'll see you tomorrow"
I decided to separate from Anais when its time for the plot of dragon ball to begin, I plan on getting the dragon balls and having Bulma meet me and things can go on from there unfortunately I can't think of a way to prevent oolong from joining us but I can prevent Yamcha and Roshi from seeing Bulma naked, I have no plans on letting them see the woman I'm interested in naked.
