'Just look at him...' Sam thought, wearing his fake polite smile as he looked the old man in the eyes. 'He probably thinks he has me all figured out...'

Nathaniel Carter was a shrewd man. Even when faced with overwhelming disadvantage, he would go on to work his way back to the top, creating his own faction among the Awakened and starting a war against Sam and Freyja's Children. Unfortunately for him, his plans were halted before he could even make the first move.
