The chill in the air nipped at my skin as I sat outside, my paintbrush delicately tracing the outline of a wolf with piercing blue eyes. The canvas before me seemed to come alive with each stroke, capturing the essence of the creature's wild spirit. My maidservants stood obediently behind me, their presence a silent support.

This seemed to be all I could do for years, do nothing but just paint. I found it therapeutic and peaceful, I mean what else could I do when my husband is off conquering other kingdoms? I thought to myself as I carefully dipped my brush into a blue paint which I used to paint the eyes of the wolf that stared back at me.

I heard someone clear that throat behind me. Already knowing who it was I smiled as she approached me. Thea, my oldest handmaiden smiled at me as she bowed, her smile genuine as she stared at my painting.
