Vander twirled Dawnbreaker at his side as he looked at Mordred.
'Mordred Pendragon, the clone/daughter of Artoria. Part dragon, with a functioning Magic Core as a heart. I think I can push her a bit.'
He had gained a massive surge in power since he devoured Ubel so he focused on just using a good portion to push Mordred. He knew his Infernity well, it was at the moment running through her body refining and awakening latent power.
He had to push her to let her bring it all out into the open. Secretly though he was mostly just excited to actually be meeting Mordred as she was one of his top 5 favorite servants of the Fate series.
As long as he proved himself she would serve as a loyal knight which was honestly a contradiction. She was the Knight of Treachery for a reason, but at the same time, her knight background was still something she valued.
He grinned as he looked down at her.
"Are you ready hatchling?"
Vander placed Dawnbreaker on his shoulder as his black halberd crackled with power. Mordred squinted her eyes without her helm.
"Hatchling?"
Vander played the senior card here.
"That is all I see in you, a hatchling. You are part dragon are you not? Quite impure though."
She squinted her green eyes which were starting to shift into noticeable draconic slits.
'Is he a dragon?'
"I will make you take those words back."
Infernity surged through Mordred's mana pathways and her Mana Core was surging. The mana it produced fused with Demonic Mana that the Infernity Piece Vander had used for her. Red and black crackling lightning surged from her body in waves which were noticed by Vander's group.
So much power was being used that Chiron and Deionusys came out to check what was causing it. Vander's group also did the same as they knew that Vander had already fought a hard fight. A second fight of that level would destroy the world so they were kind of on edge.
Naerdeath even picked up Thalia over her head and ran to the lake where Vander and Mordred were. Thalia did not expect that at all and yelled in a very undignified way, but she was ingored. As for Vander, he taunted Mordred once more.
"Come hatchling."
"STOP CALLING ME THAT!"
"Well shut me up then, hatchling."
Mordred completely agrey at this point attacked and charged at Vander. Clarent crackled with Infernity as it burned away the previous restrictions on it. As the sword never accepted her she could never really bring out its full power.
However once Infernity corrupted the Holy Sword things changed. Mordred felt her power grow as she swung Clarent at Vander's neck. His dark green draconic eyes glanced at the sword going toward his neck which he dodged by leaning backward.
He clenched his fist and punched Mordred in the gut. His large fist impacted her armor like a ballistic missile which caused cracks to spread out from the point of impact. The air was knocked out of Mordred and she got launched into the lake.
Water exploded high into the sky as Mordred got turned into a missile. She struck the bottom of the lake as the lake bed formed massive cracks from the blow that Vander used on her. He did not let the chance go to tease her once more.
"I guess you are still a hatchling. Don't worry, I will help you realize our species' potential. Come."
Mordred at the bottom of the lake had heard everything which made her roar in annoyance. She was being treated like a kid or hatchling as Vander kept calling her. In her anger, the Infernity drew out more of her potential making her grow stronger.
The water around her began to boil as she opened her eyes which were now red. Her teeth began to grow while small red scales began to emerge around Mordred's body. They focused mostly on her limbs and face which she had not really noticed just yet.
Her Mana Core which was an Inferior version of a Dragon Heart began to beat rapidly as more of her latent dragon heritage was stimulated. She charged out of the water once more toward Vander as her body burned with bright red flames.
"STOP CALLING ME HATCHLING!"
She threw Clarent toward Vander which burned with her new flames. Not to mention the crackling lightning that came from the sword itself.
'Dragon fire. Come Mordred, get angrier, draw more of your power.'
When he avoided the sword Mordred did not just pause or try to retrieve her sword. She exploded forward with more speed than before as she used her technique, Mana Burst. However, she used Infernity which made her speed grow more than she was used to.
She tackled him with her newfound speed and wrapped her arms around his back with some trouble. He was much bigger than she was and her arms had trouble wrapping around his broad body.
Vander could have dodged, but he was letting her have some fun. He was not trying to beat her as he could do that easily. He was training her as he felt her history was too pitiful. Her father figure rejected her, her mother manipulated her so he wanted her to view him at least like an older brother.
He was snapped out of his daydreaming as Mordred picked him up off the ground. She lifted him over her head and tried to slam his head down to the ground in a German Suplex. Vander dropped Dawnbreaker and extended his hands over his head.
When his hands met the ground he used his higher strength to wrap around Mordred's smaller body. She did not expect that as he used his leg to smash Mordred into the ground head first.
He reversed her move and got himself out of the air. He lept back as Mordred ripped herself out of the ground. Her face was curled back into an angry scowl as she spat out dirt and rocks.
Vander rubbed his nonexistent beard as he looked at the angry Knight of Trechery.
"Your much too green hatchling. You don't even have your wings."
"SHUT UP!"
More red scales formed around Mordred's body and so did her power. Vander spread out his two pairs of wings and took to the sky. Mordred gazed at his wings with a bit of jealousy coming from her dragon side.
She did not want to admit it, but gazing at those giant black wings was like seeing a cool car that you wanted.
'Not fair.'
Vander crossed his arms over his chest.
"As I said, much too green hatchling."
Mordred squinted her draconic eyes and called back Clarent toward her hands as she looked at Vander in the sky.
"That does it."
Clarent's cross guard opened up as a stream of black and red lightning surged into the sky. Flames began to burn on her body and her sword which made Vander have to hold back his awe at the sigh of his favorite Noble Phatasm.
'Clarent Blood Arthur. Looks so much cooler in real life. Calm down Vander, you are playing the senior role at the moment."
"Careful hatchling. You might hurt yourself with so much mana."
"I AM FINE!"
While Vander teased her, La Folia, Tiamat, Naereath, Nerreza, and Thalia arrived at the lake to see who the hell he was fighting with. When they saw who it was they had zero clue as they had neer seen her. At the same time
Chiron and Dionysus arrived as well as so much power was impossible to not spot inside of the camp. When they all saw Mordred they all noticed first the power she had. She was powerful, but the second thing was the noticeable use of Infernity.
The third obvious thing and the most shocking was the growing red scales over her body. La Folia glanced at Timat for answers.
"So, you know that dragon girl?"
Tiamat glanced at La Folia and shook her head.
"Never in my life have I met her. I can tell she is using Infernity, is part dragon more specifically Vander's Knight Piece."
La Folia looked at Mordred who was about to attack Vander who was flying in the sky. She called out to Vander for answers.
"VANDER! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!"
Mordred glanced at her as she called out to Vander. Her attack was still pried and ready, but she had far more control than she normally had.
"You know this annoying guy?"
Vander laughed like an old man which just pissed off Mordred. La Folia could guess that her annoying Boyfriend was messing with his new peerage member. She still nodded though.
"He is my boyfriend."
"And mine."
Naerdeath raised her hand after that. Tiamat chuckled and played along.
"He is my mate. Nice to meet you.
Serafall shrugged.
"He is a friend."
The Vampire maid bowed.
"He is my lord."
Once they finished Mordred nodded.
"I am Mordred Pendragon, now excuse me while I shot this guy from the sky. TAKE THIS! CLARENT BLOOD ARTHUR!"
Chiron wanted them to leave before they destroyed the camp, but she had charged her attack enough. A wide grin formed on her face which showed off her sharp teeth. Her anger was all a result of her newly awakened Dragon bloodline.
She was just overwhelmed by the emotions coming from such a thing and this was just the beginning. She had a long way to go before her full dragon side was awakened, but it was a good start for now.
She swung her sword into the sky toward Vander which caused the massive charged-up attack to surge into the sky as a gigantic red, black, crackling, and burning beam of death rush toward Vander.
She expected him to have some reaction, but he just grinned as his body erupted in black scales while he grew larger. He did not take his full dragon form, so it looked more like he had dragon scales for armor. Vander's maw opened wide open as he channeled his own dragon fire.
He had never done this before, but just like any dragon, he could use this ability. Black Blue flames surged toward Mordred's attack and clashed with it mid air. Mordred's attack began to be burned and devoured by Vander's flames which were stronger than her attack.
"DON'T LET THAT THING HIT THE GROUND!"
Chiron's hand ruffled his long brown hair as Mordred dodged out of the way of the flames. She did not even bother to think about the location as the moment Vander's flames hit the ground they devoured everything they touched.
Dionysus was just watching the whole thing with amusement. He had a stick with a bunch of marshmallows that came out of nowhere. He held it forward into a small bit of black blue flames.
"Calm yourself Chiron. Just a bit of fire never killed anyone."
Chiron shook his head.
"Never killed anyone? That is just a terrible excuse, Mr. D."
The god of Wine shrugged.
"Not my best, but we got more issues than a little fire."
He pointed at Thalia who was so transfixed on the fight she did not notice the Centaur or God.
"My Zeus' beard. It's her."
"Yup, out of her tree and with the brats people."
Their focus went back into the fight as the ground and the lake all went up in a bright flash of black blue flames which made Thalia's mouth go slack. It was instantaneous as when those flames touched down they just flashed and burned everything.
"What the hell is that?"
Dionysus was about to intervene, but Tiamat did it for him. She waved her hand and controlled Chaos and Karma to keep their destruction to a minimum. Vander felt this was enough as Mordred was not ready to enter outrage mode.
He flew toward her and appeared right in front of Mordred who only saw a blur. Vander's fist connected with her solar plexus which knocked the air out of her hard. Unlike last time he used more strength to insure she was down.
She fell to her knees as her dragon features receded. He caught her and hefted her on his shoulder. He looked at Chiron and Dionysus and then his own group.
"Lay it on me. You all have questions right?"
Everyone nodded so he got ready to explain himself. Of course, once Mordred woke up she could help in his explanation, but for now it was up to him.
I did not think almost a month passed by. This is awkward as I was sure it had only been two weeks. Sorry.
