Chapitre 57: No one will dare

Édouard moved his hand on the mattress while his eyes were still closed. When he didn't find Charlotte next to him, he promptly opened his eyes and sat up on the bed to look around.

Édouard ran his fingers through his hair as he realized it was morning. He smiled while reminiscing the moments from last night.

He raised his head as Charlotte walked out of the bathroom. Their eyes met briefly, and she walked out of the bedchamber.

"You look pretty," Édouard loudly said. Charlotte smiled and sat in front of the dressing table. She wanted to call Zoe, but since Édouard was still in the room she decided not to do that.

Gently she dried her hair using the towel when she heard Zoe's voice from outside. Zoe opened the door and came to the dressing room. She greeted Charlotte and apologized to her for getting late.

"Are you well?" Charlotte asked her.

"After the day's rest, I turned better, Your Grace," Zoe answered and she took the towel from Charlotte.
