Chapitre 153: Feigning Ignorance In Front Of The Obvious Matter

Back to the current time at Hisaki's place.

"Hisaki, are you still at work?"

The slightly husky voice slipped into Hisaki's hearing the moment she answered the call.

"...Dad?" Her brows arched upward.

Hisaki actually anticipated the call to come from her mother like usual. Never did she expect to hear her father's voice at the end of the line.

It was rare for her father to call her first. During the few times they talked after he was discharged before, Hisaki was able to speak to her father because of her mother. Her mother passed the phone to him, allowing the father and daughter to converse.

"Am I interrupting your work? Do you have something to do?"

Mr. Chisaka's tone was a bit hesitant. 

When he looked at the time earlier, he found that it was already a quarter past six in the evening. His daughter should be already clocking out right now. But, it was also possible for Hisaki to have another matter to attend to.
