Every year around this time, the medical department sends out some of its top students to volunteer.

Volunteering means going to poor communities or welfare institutions to check the health of the elderly and orphans and to distribute some medicine.

This year, Tara Summer, as one of the department's top students, was naturally arranged to go.

Tara was very happy; she had always wanted to volunteer, having done it several times before at Washington Medical College, so she was particularly excited this time.
