Inside an old building.
"Why are we here?" Simon queried, he looked over at Dominic who was skimming across the signs on the wall.
"We are here to meet someone," Dominic responded. He gazes over the building, it looked really old and deserted. At one look one would know it held secrets, forbidden truths, and untold prophecies.
It wasn't a regular building that's why it was located in a deserted forest.
"Isn't this the forbidden church?" Simon asked again, he wasn't clear what exactly they were here for. He preferred to know what was ahead.
However, he didn't get a response from Dominic, but someone else. A woman.
"So eager to see me, aren't you, Cian darling,"
"Damn wizard," Simon swore under his breath. He looked over at Dominic from the corner of his eyes. He didn't look at the woman who walked down the stairs of the building towards them, he didn't want to.
"No, don't give him that look, darling," The woman's sly and coquettish voice came from behind him. She was very fast.
"Where are they?" Dominic asked, he looked directly at the woman. Rough dark skin, bale head, purple eyes, and long pointing fingernails.
A witch
But in her case, a half-witch.
She backs away from Simon and makes her way toward Dominic, her face holding a smirk.
"Not even a 'hello sister' anymore?" She teased and walked behind him. Her hands found their way to his back and then his ear, "They will cost you, and you know that." She whispered.
A knife came out of nowhere and went right to Dominic's heart. But she stopped it in time, with her fingertips.
"Ten drops of your blood." She said again, outlining her palm with the tip of the knife.
Dominic turned around and looked her in the eye, "I need it, Gretel, and I'm not here to play games," The response he got was a pout from her. She whimpered childishly and shook her head.
"But…but they are one of my best collections," Simon didn't know how a lady could be different trends within a short time. From a menacing wizard to a pouting child.
But this is a side she only shows to Dominic and him, the underworld knows her as the she-devil, and she is.
"I know, that's why I'm leaving Simon to keep you company," Dominic replied. He looked over at Simon whose eyes held confusion and dread. Gretel isn't the kind of person one would want to spend time with.
He felt something dip onto his hand, he looked at the hand and it was Gretel, and a wide smile was on her face.
"Deal!" She replied happily.
Dominic just shook his head and stepped out of the building. With the thing in his hand, he headed toward his horse. He put it inside the small bag with him and mounted the horse away.
Simon would be having the worst few hours of his life.

"How's the stay so far?" The nice voice of a young woman was heard as Mildred climbed down the stairs. She was so beautiful and young.
"I've had a wonderful time, Miss, thanks for hosting me," Mildred replied politely. The inn was a big one, and she found it weird that only the two of them stayed there.
"We'll be expecting visitors later today," The young lady said, "And please call me, Eve,"
"Visitors, are they travelers?"
"Yes,"
"Ok,"
———
Mildred fed her horse and sat under the cool breeze, her thoughts wandered to her parents.
She still had a lot to learn, her detecting powers haven't been fully cultivated yet, and she barely knows the basics.
She breathed in deeply and closed her eyes, she wanted to find a way to cultivate herself.
With her eyes closed her ears focused on the sound around her, from the waves of the grass to the rattling of dry leaves. The weather became dense and she felt it.
The tap on her shoulder made her open her eyes.
But her eyes widened from confusion when she noticed she wasn't at the inn anymore, she couldn't see the person that patted her back. She was inside a cemetery. She became terrified, she stepped back slowly, her body trembled as walked, her back hits something and she jumped onward in nervousness.
"Isn't it dangerous we are concealing it here?" Mildred gazed down at the elderly man, he was talking to another man and a woman. It seemed they didn't realize she was there.
"Nobody would suspect a thing here, it's the best place to keep it from their reach." The woman replied to the elderly man.
Mildred watched as the woman's gaze went through her as she looked around.
"Hurry up, I can sense them, they are close," the woman became anxious.
Mildred didn't know what was going on, what were they hiding that was dangerous?
"Ehn…hello?" She waved her hand a little, but she didn't get a response, none looked in her direction, it was as if she wasn't there.
"How many years would it stay mute?" The younger man with them asked, he looked very young.
"A century or so." The woman replied, she looked up at the cloud, Mildred hadn't noticed the weather had changed.
"The cstor is coming, it will be happening in a few hours. Let's hasty up." Mildred could tell from her facial expression she was very terrified, not because of what they were hiding but because of what was to come.
Mildred moved back a little, everything was confusing her. She moved her body to turn around but she missed her step and fell.
"Arrggh…" She groan silently, she raised her head and pushed herself up, she dust the sand off her palm. Her knees were on the ground, and before she could stand up her eyes caught something.

It was written on one of the tombstones in the cemetery.
This scared her, but what scared her most was the grave trembling and opening. And an angry-looking man emerged from inside the broken grave, his eyes were blood-red as they stared angrily at her.
"It's your turn now." His words frightened her, "Come now." He walked trembling towards her, his hand hoisted towards her.
No, she didn't want to be buried!
She crawled backward in fright, the further she crawled from him the more he accelerated his speed.
And finally, he got her.
"Nooooo!"
"Wake up, Mildred,"
She jerked up, looked around, and realized she was inside her room.
"Are you alright?" The caring voice of Eve made her feel safe.
"Yes…I…had a bad dream," she spoke softly to Eve. She joined her limbs together and placed her jaw on her knees, she was still terrified.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Eve asked. She could tell it wasn't just any bad dream Mildred had.
She shook her head, "No." She raised her head and looked at Eve, "How did I get here?"
"I saw you passed out close to the horses, your body was cold, really cold. And you were mumbling…some words, strange words. So I picked you up and brought you to your room."
"Thanks, Miss Eve, I mean it," Eve gave her a small smile in return.
"I brought you some food, you were asleep for a long time and you missed dinner." Eve pushed a tray of food towards her, "And there's something I want to tell you,"
"What is it?"
"Don't leave your room, not until the sun is out," Eve said.
With confusion written all over her face, she asked, "Why? Is something wrong, Miss Eve?"
"Nothing is wrong, at the moment though. Just don't come out, do you understand?"
Nodding her head, "Yes, I understand."
"Very good," Eve said and stood up, she checked if everything was in order before leaving.
Mildred silently ate her food. Something was about to happen here, she was sure of that.
