The next morning, Max woke up safe and sound. He checked his body and belonging to see whether something was missing, and heaved a sigh of relief after confirming that everything was in place.
Not that he hadn't laid some traps around his perimeter, but its never enough with being cautious.
He got out of his room and saw the rest of the folks were up and running.
The breakfast was laid on the table. And looked like everyone was waiting for him.
"Sorry, about that. I slept too much because the bed was too comfortable." He apologized.
"No problem. I know how it feels like to sleep on Lapika feathers. I didn't want to get out of bed for a day." Bilbo said.
"Lapika feathers? Isn't that, like, super expensive?" Max asked.
"Yeah, they are. I was lucky during an adventure of mine. A noble gifted me some after destroying the lich beneath his mine." Limbo proceeded to tell the story in detail during the breakfast.
After they finally finished eating, Bilbo got up and went upstairs while the duo were bidding their farewell to Raelyn.
"Thank you again, for letting us stay. I'll make sure to pay you back in the future." Max said.
"Ah don't worry about it. Bilbo does this all the time. No need to fret over it. But if you want to pay us back, could you wait here for a bit?" Raelyn said.
"Wait for a bit? Sure." Max said. 'Probably has something to do with Bilbo. Maybe he needs something fetched.' He thought.
After around five minutes, footsteps were heard on the stairs leading from the second floor.
Then came Bilbo, with a huge backpack easily twice the size of Max.
"Sorry about that. It's been too long, I couldn't find some stuff of mine." He apologized and went to the door. "What are we waiting for? Let's go!" He shouted excitedly and went out.
"Wait, what? What is going on?" Max was confused.
"What do you mean by what's going on? We're going on an adventure aren't we?" Bilbo said, matter of factly.
"We? No. There is no 'we'" Max said while pointing at the three of them. "There is only 'us'" Then he continued while pointing at Medb and himself.
"Do you know how to avoid the minotaurs? Forest pixies? Which plants are poisonous and which are edible? What kind of animals habitat the Rimmen Forest? How many adventures have you been through? Do you know your way around the forest?" Bilbo asked and upon seeing Max tongue tied, he continued. "I thought so. Now, let's go! Goodbye Raelyn." Then turned around and walked away.
'Well, if his stories are true, he would be a great help. That's a fact.' Max decided in his head and shrugged. He followed behind Bilbo.
"Sigh" After seeing the two of them walking away, Medb sighed and also followed after them. 'This is going to be annoying.'

"Come on! Is that all you can do? Even my unborn grandchildren can do better!"
"I'm trying my best here! Haah!"
There was Max and Bilbo sparring with Medb watching calmly from the sidelines.
Max was trying to land a single hit on the small old man but let alone landing a single hit, he wasn't even able to get close to him.
He threw Kanshou from his hand and attacked with Bakuya.
"Why are you throwing your weapon? That was a mistake!" Bilbo didn't miss the chance when Max threw his sword away and went in to attack.
He sidestepped Max's attack and went for a punch in the gut but ducked a moment later as the sword that was thrown away was almost about to hit him.
"Ah I see, so that's why. That's nasty trick you got there boy!" He said happily.
But Max was annoyed. Bilbo was too nimble. 'Should I blast the bastard away with Caladbolg?' He thought.
He blocked Bilbo's short sword, Sting, with Both his swords, but he was punched in the gut. "Did you know? Wielding two swords at the same time is harder than wielding one." He said as he landed another punch.
"Gah!" Max was pushed back from the force behind the punch.
"There is a higher chance of self injury." Bilbo said and threw some dirt in Max's eye.
"Hey! That's cheating!" Max yelled.
"There is no cheating in combat boy. Remember that well."
"I know that! That was a figure of speech!" Max protested.
"When you are fighting against a dual wielding opponent, all you have to do is be careful of both of them. It's simple and direct. There is no trickery involved." Bilbo said as he ducked under a returning blade and tripped up Max.
"But since I'm not dual wielding and one of my hands are free, I can use it for many things. Like making rude gestures for example." He said as he flipped the finger at Max, who was lying on the ground, out of breath.
Then he slowly got up and lifted the two swords with all his remaining strength. "I can do this all day." He said between the breaths.
"Good! Keep getting up!" He said as he kicked Max once again. "But if you have no chance against the enemy, lying down is the better choice. You might survive that way." He said with all seriousness.
But Max was too tired to continue listening to Bilbo. "I can't do this all day."
"Hehehe this one is out of the game. Wanna play young lady? Let me show you how great Bilbo is." He wiggled his eyebrows.
"Ew gross. No thank you." Medb replied disinterested. She was getting annoyed by the newest companion of their little group.
He was way too energetic!
And after a while she learned how to ignore him. Even though it didn't help much, it was still helping.
"Well, suit yourself." Bilbo shrugged. "Let's go to sleep for the day. We still have a day of travel until we reach the town of Oakwood." He said, and the group went to sleep after both Max and Bilbo laid some traps around the camp.
