Hypocrisy is human nature plus Hiruzen misleading scheming & brainwashed Will of Fire. It corrupted Konoha village mind except Mighty Dai families & Nara families.
The reason Hyuga Hiashi didn't like Naruto families because of Namikaze Minato didn't fulfilled his promises after becoming Hokage. Minato didn't abolished Hyuga branch families system. The slave mark was cursed. The other reason Hyuga Hiashi has crushed on Namikaze Minato too. Actually Minato has approved & support abolished Hyuga branch families system but there is interference between Konoha advisor & Sarutobi Hiruzen due to Danzo suggestions. His boyfriend rejected Minato proposal because Minato influenced became large because Minato has Uchiha Clan backup. If he got another Hyuga Clan backup, Sarutobi & his 2 goons lose control. Their plan & reasoning avoid Hyuga branch families revolt against main family.
Logically this slave mark was excuse for making slave & families control. The main patriarch fear that his seat was taken by other than his lineage. The day 3 Sannin Title was announced by Demi God Salamander Hanzo was the day Sarutobi Hiruzen has started prepared back up puppet plan with his darling Danzo. Hiruzen also don't want his boyfriend become 4th Hokage because he want to controlled him too due to his control fetish. Danzo can't fight his lover because they have relationship for so long..
