"Your Majesty," Chief Eunuch Chen said softly a few steps away from the slim rectangular table. He raised his face slightly and stole a glance at the Emperor who was bent over writing a response to the report spread out on the table. 

Eunuch Chen clutched his palm tighter and sucked in some air through his lips. The Emperor had been overly moody of late, it was difficult to predict how he would respond to the need he was about to deliver.

Emperor Xiang raised his head slightly and glanced up at the Eunuch with a tight expression. "What is it?"
