Minutes earlier, Banxi Pavilion.

She jumped, eye snapping to the door as the door was suddenly pushed open with force. Everything came to a halt as soldiers burst into the room.

She hissed and glanced down at her hand as her finger was cut. She took out her handkerchief and pressed it down her hand. 

Struggled to her feet but quickly fell to her knees as four male staff standing at the opposite end of the room took out short swords and rushed towards the soldiers.

Liqiu gripped the edges of the table tightly as the throats of the assassins were slit. The soldiers left two of the assassins alive for interrogation. Some soldiers rushed forward and took the men away. 

More soldiers rushed in after that and surrounded the room, they stepped behind the other servants and entertainers, drew their sword and held it to their necks
