A week passed in a blink of an eye, and Jay's new college life was almost on track.
There are not too many courses in the first semester. There are only a few lessons in a week. Generally speaking, there is still plenty of free time. Jay has no habit of sleeping in and spends most of his time on superhero part-time jobs outside of class. As for his new roommate, Mike, he spends most of the day in the warm bedding.
Jay had just joked with his mother that he hoped his roommate was a simple guy who could buy a bag of chips, but he didn't expect the truth to be the same. Based on this week's observations, Jay found that his new roommate is a single-celled animal; hot-blooded, short-tempered, and fiery enthusiasm is his greatest strength and his greatest weakness.
The curriculum aspect is naturally not a problem for Jay, his brain can digest a tremendous amount of information instantly, and he only needs a second to scan a book roughly to imprint every word in his brain. Deep, and never have to worry about the possibility of forgetting. Most professors had a pretty good impression of him in the first class. Most of them classified Jay as a motivated student who had done enough homework before class, but Jay didn't even touch him before the bell rang. Passed the test. In addition, he spends most of the time in style in a state of mind wandering.
Friday, in class for the last class before the weekend. The old professor with the red beard is still spitting on the podium, and most of the students in the back row are still in the classroom, and their minds are already wandering. They pay more attention to the content of the old professor's lecture. The "click" sound of the second hand of the wall clock placed directly in front of the classroom means that the weekend is one step closer.
Jay wasn't listening or was not paying attention. He pricked up his ears and listened to everything the professor said while chatting with Kara on his phone. These days, they feel uncomfortable after speaking a few words on their mobile phones almost daily, and the topic has shifted more and more from the superhero story at the beginning to the trivial matters. Jay liked to watch her complain about Ms. Grant's eccentric temper, and she wanted to watch Jay describe the different personalities of each new college professor.
Three minutes before the end of getting out of class, the bell and she suddenly sent a message: "Guess where I am?"
Jay was stunned for a moment, then replied almost without thinking, "Kate co International Media? Are you not at work?"
Carla sent a cute smug smile, followed by a photo taken on a cell phone. In the picture is an open iron black gate; behind the open space stands a huge ellipsoid rock, and behind it is a lush grove. Wei Ran's towering teaching building followed the dense woods, and the sun adorned the top tower with a golden edge.
"The Exotic Land Reclamation of Vegetable Skeletons"
This is...the teaching building of their school?
Jay almost couldn't resist the urge to get up straight from his seat. He looked out the window; his keen eyesight was like a high-power telescope, capturing the dazzling little spot outside the school gate. Carla stood beside the big tree outside the school gate; her golden hair seemed to twinkle in the sun. She saw Jay there too and smiled happily at him.
"Surprise." Another message came from her phone with a cute expression.
Jay couldn't help laughing.
What a surprise.
The last two minutes before getting out of class ended were almost highly long, as if the second hand on a wall clock had gone through a century with each beat. When the long-awaited bell finally rang, Jay had to force himself to resist the urge to fly straight out of the window and walk through the crowd like an average person.
"Why are you here?" Jay asked impatiently when he came to see her outside the school gate, "Shouldn't you still be at work now?"
"Ms. Grant's child seems to be in trouble at school, and she has to go to her son's elementary school," Carla said. "So I'm flying here, and I think you're going to freak out."
"You won; I was terrified." Jay said, paused, then asked, "So now, what's the plan?"
Carla grabbed his arm with a smile: "This is your home court, I'm a guest, so of course, you have the final say."
"Uh...but I've just come here, so I'm not very familiar with it."
"Really. Then think about where the rest of your classmates probably spend their weekends?"
Jay thought for a while: "Singing? Movies? Or staying in the dormitory for two whole days..." His new roommate's sleepy eyes and messy hair in the dormitory couldn't help but jump into his mind.
"...By the way, there is also a playground not far from here." Jay suddenly remembered, "My roommate said every weekend with a girlfriend likes to spend there, uh... ..but do you like it?"
"I like it, of course, I like it." Kara laughed. "What girl wouldn't like it?"
Mike wasn't lying; the weekend amusement park was full of young couples, especially near a university. Exaggerated long dragons drag almost all the rides, and there is a sign standing next to the queue in every other section with the words "waiting here for XX hours", which is prohibitive.
Carla happily dragged Jay into the amusement park, and Jay felt like a little girl's stuffed toy. He had never been on a playground in his life; he had just flown through the air before. Although he had been to the garden in his previous life, it was still when he was very young, and the feeling was not significantly different from his parents at that time. And that's quite old, so his only knowledge of playgrounds comes from TV and novels.
Speaking of which, Kara was the first girlfriend he had ever talked to in two lifetimes.
So, where should they start?
Just thinking of this, a loud deafening noise shook the space unexpectedly, causing countless birds to spread their wings. It was the screeching sound of all the passengers on the roller coaster swooping down from the top of the tracks. The long steel dragon swooped down with tremendous kinetic energy, roaring with the friction of the rails and intertwined with the passengers' screams.
Speaking of amusement parks, the roller coaster is undoubtedly one of the most representative projects. Jay looked at the roller coaster that had released all its potential energy and was climbing a steep slope again and asked, "Sit on that?"
Cara giggled. "Rather than sitting on that one, it would be more exciting if we flew down from the top of Mount Everest side by side at the speed of sound."
Jay thought about it, and that seemed to be the case. But since that's the case, what else can the two Kryptonians come to the amusement park for? Floating on the Ferris wheel is better than flying to the stratosphere.
Carla grabbed his hand, pointed to the opposite side, and shouted, "Let's go to that!"
Jay followed her fingers and smiled.
Haunted house?
